Megaguirus (メガギラス, Megagirasu) is the titular main antagonist of the 2000 film Godzilla vs. Megaguirus. She is the tyrannical queen of a race of giant prehistoric dragonflies called Meganulon from the Carboniferous Period that thrive by stealing the energy of larger creatures.

She was portrayed by Minoru Watanabe.

What Makes Her Close to Being Pure Evil?

• She doesn't have to compete with other villains such as King Ghidorah, Gigan, SpaceGodzilla, Destoroyah or even the Controller X as she isn't in the same continuity than all of them, only having to compete to Godzilla.
• She destroyed a building with one of her wings without any provocation.
• She destroyed a city with one of her abilities while enjoying herself of the suffering of all the humans there.
• Tried to kill Godzilla and absorb his energy while taunting him and enjoying his pain.
• For what we know, she shows a lot of personality and shows sadism in her actions, in contrast with the other Meganulon, possibly having now moral agency thanks to Godzilla's energy, while having a lot more of intellect thanks to it.

What Prevents Her from Being Pure Evil?

• She suffers from Fridge Horror, because it is never explicitly said that she will attack more cities and destroy them by killing the people there.
• She may have Moral Agency Issues, because it's unknown if she actually gained Moral Agency thanks to Godzilla's energy, having into account that it seems that the Megaguirus normally attacked tiny creatures to gain territory, but this isn't that big of a prevention, thanks to her having a lot of personality and more intelligence than any of the other Meganulon while enjoying the pain that she causes.
