Meela Nais is the secondary antagonist of The Mummy Returns. She is a mysterious crime lord and beautiful woman who was the reincarnation of Anck-Su-Namun, that joined the Cult of Imhotep whose intent was to see that the dreaded High Priest of Osiris Imhotep be resurrected and conquer the Earth.
She was portrayed by Patricia Velásquez.

What Makes Her Close to Being Pure Evil?[]
- After hearing that it was the year of The Scorpion King, she looks to Dig up Imhotep from Hamunaptura hoping that he could kill the scorpion king take over his army of Anubis and rule the world by his side with the cult of Imhotep.
- When scarabs are attacking one of the pits killing countless workers, she shows sadism saying “they are getting very closer” to Imhotep.
- Has 3 thieves steal the bracelet of Anubis, but they fail as the O’Connells got it first so they head to London to steal it.
- Breaks into the O'Connell house and tries to kill Jonathan Carnahan with a snake until Rick comes in and fights her.
- Has Evelyn O’Connell kidnapped and presented her as a gift for Imhotep to kill once he got resurrected.
- When about to burn Evie alive, her husband Rick appears and saves her, and a medjai warrior Ardeth Bay comes in shooting at the cult, she fires back at him with a machine gun.
- She has Evelyn’s son Alex kidnapped because he wore the bracelet and sent to Egypt.
- Hijacks a train with the cult.
- Threatens Alex that if he doesn’t behave she will put poisonous snakes in his bed while he is sleeping.
- Has the 3 thieves from earlier steal a chest that when opened allows Imhotep to have his powers.
- Scams the thieves by locking them into a carriage with Imhotep knowing full well how he was going to kill them and even tricks them into opening the chest, while the thieves aren’t good people they didn’t deserve to go out the way they did.
- When Imhotep is done with his dirty work by killing the thieves by sucking out their fluids and organs, regenerating his flesh she completely disregards their corpses.
- When camping, Imhotep puts her in a trance replaying Anuk Su Namun’s memories eventually leading her to kill herself so that Anuk Su Namun’s soul could reside in her body.

- She fails the heinous standard to Imhotep.
