Marceline Abadeer, commonly known as Star Marceline or The Star, is a major antagonist in the 2023 MAX original series Adventure Time: Fionna & Cake, a spin-off of the original Adventure Time cartoon.
She's an alternate universe counterpart of Marceline Abadeer from the original series that the trio stumbled across in one of many realities they visted. In this reality, Marceline wasn't taken in and cared for by Simon when she was a young girl, but rather by the Vampire King. And with her help, the Vampire King waged war against humanity and killed billions of innocents.
Like her prime counterpart, she was voiced by Olivia Olson.

What Makes Her Close to Being Pure Evil?[]
- With the Vampire King's help and resources, she conquered the entire Earth, waging war against humans, which resulted in billions of deaths.
- To grow the size of her vampire army, she turned thousands, possibly millions, of innocent people into vampires against their will and forced them to obey her or else they'd be killed/have their souls drained from their bodies.
- She attempted to kill Fionna Campbell, Cake the Cat, Simon Petrikov and Bonnibel Bubblegum, as well as several other members of Bonnibel's resistance group.
- She actively goes out of her way to kill innocent civilians just for fun and to fuel her bloodthirst, laughing at and taunting the deaths and misery of others.
- Upon meeting Fionna for the first time, she exclaimed that Fionna looked "tasty" and attempted to drink her blood.
- She's abusive towards her minions and kills any of them that question her authority, such as when one minion asked why she doesn't just kill Bonnibel already and she snapped their neck.
- Another minion killed themselves out of fear of what Marceline might do to them.
- She frequently taunts and sexually harasses Bonnibel when it's clear Bonnibel despises her. Seems to resist killing her and also She seems to get annoyed when her henchmen speak ill of her, she doesn't really care about her, since she has a sick obsession with her and that's why she doesn't kill her, but she doesn't care about her anymore. Although she offered it to her an alliance, this is subverted when Marceline practically forces her to commit suicide with she.
- She makes a last-ditch effort to manipulate Bonnibel into giving herself up and to join her Vampire Army before, again, attempting to kill her.
- In general, she's a sadistic and horrible person who enjoys killing and maiming others for her own amusement, and who feels entitled to anything she desires, including other people,
What Prevents Her from Being Pure Evil?[]
- She is tragic due to her character being portrayed as having the same past as the original counterpart of losing her mother as a child and surviving her chidhood alone after the Mushroom War, and as opposed to her original counterpart on Primeworld, who was taken in by Simon and raised to be a good person, this variant of her was raised by the Vampire King to be spoiled rotten and was taught no morals, melding her into the sadistic and childish psychopath that she is.
- She genuinely loves her adoptive father.
