~ Makoto reveals his true nature to Yuuki. |
Makoto Itou is the main antagonist of the Cross Days manga adapted from the visual novel. While in other versions he has portrayed as a perverted but well-meaning naive boy, this version portrays him as an arrogant psychopath who has a desire to rape both boys and girls to fulfill his sexual desires.
His Evil Ranking[]
What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Evil?[]
- He is strongly implied to have manipulated multiple girls into sexual relationships like his original counterpart.
- He manipulates Sekai and Katsura into having a two-way relationship with him for his own perverted gain.
- When Yuuki confronts him about his two-timing nature of manipulating Sekai and Katsura, he blatantly taunts him over the fact he is manipulating their emotions so he can control them, then mockingly says he will consider stopping if Yuuki gives him girls to have sex with them or joins in on his harem by himself.
- When Yuuki pretends to be a girl named Yu to get close to Makoto and confessing her love to him, he attempts to take advantage of this and lure "her" to his house. When "she" refuses, he becomes more obsessed with her and eventually decides to try to get closer to her.
- While on a swimming date with Yuu, he aggressively grabs "her" and demands her to be obedient and follow him to a private area with the intention of raping "her."
- He pretends to be a friendly guy wanting to help Rouka (a naive innocent girl) with confessing her love to Yuuki. To spite Yuuki for refusing to have sex with him, he ends up lying about Yuuki's location so he can lure her alone then sexually assaults her by removing her clothes while screaming that she should become an adult already as well as insulting her for thinking of starting a relationship with anybody who isn't him then attending to rape her, which he would have succeeded in had Yuuki not intervened. This ends up traumatizing her to the point she doesn't go to school for a few days.
- When Yuuki catches him trying to rape Rouka, he continues to act smug and then decides to blackmail Yuuki into having sex with him (as either a boy or girl) or he will tell the entire school about his secret of being a cross-dresser, knowing it will humiliate him.
- He manipulates Katsura into hating Yuuki, which nearly drives Yuuki to suicidal depression. Makoto shows no remorse for this when he thinks Yuuki died.
- When he finds Rouka alone, he once again harasses her and asks why she is alone, trying to pick her up while he is with his two girlfriends right next to him.
- When finding out that Yuuki is alive, he decides to try to spread his embarrassing secret, although to no success.
What Prevents Him from Being Pure Evil?[]
- While his behavior indicates a certain pattern and may have committed the same crimes as his other counterparts, he relies on Fridge Horror as he is only confirmed to have two sexual assaults.
Trivia[]
- It is unclear if this version of Makoto shares the same actions as his School Days manga counterpart due to his drastically different personality and no confirmation on the stories being connected, however if they were he would likely not count as Near Pure Evil due to showing remorse for his actions. However, he would also likely have additional crimes to help him pass the baseline, which would likely make him Inconsistently Heinous.
- His School Days anime counterpart can't be considered Near Pure Evil since despite also having no redeeming qualities, he is just a bog-standard neglector.
