Madame Hecuba is the main antagonist of the 1974 Jack and the Beanstalk anime film. She is an evil witch and the giant's mother.

Her Evil Ranking[]

What Makes Her Close to Being Pure Evil?[]

  • She is verbally abusive to her son, Tulip.
  • In the past, she cooked and ate numerous children to keep herself from aging and preserve her eternal youth.
  • She murdered the king and queen of the kingdom in the clouds, turned the citizens into mice, and placed the princess, Margaret, under a spell, making her believe Hecuba to be her adoptive mother.
  • She caused two restless spirits (possibly the king and queen) to be condemned to roam the halls of the castle.
  • She tries to cook and eat Jack to continue to preserve her immortality.
  • She plans to get the bewitched Margaret to marry her son, Tulip the giant, so she can officially become part of the royal family. Once this happens, she plans to betray Tulip and transform him and Margaret into mice so she can officially become queen.
  • When her plan to officially become queen is foiled and Margaret is released from her spell by Jack, Hecuba simply orders Tulip to kill Jack and Margaret.

What Prevents Her from Being Pure Evil?[]

  • Her worst act of eating various children in the past is offscreen villainy. Without that, her actions are not heinous enough.
