Her Evil Ranking[]
What Makes Her Close to Being Pure Evil?[]
- She runs a factory known as the Chop Shop, which is where the Sweepers are programmed to collect spare parts and outmodes for her and Ratchet's illegal operation. The spare parts and outmodes are then mutilated by her workers before being dumped in a gigantic furnace where they are melted down into upgrades, and it is also how she and Ratchet plot to destroy all outmodes. It is similar to a real world human trafficking operation.
- She had Ratchet dispose of all the spare parts in Robot City, causing millions of robots to be outmoded because they can't afford upgrades. One of these victims is Herb Copperbottom, Rodney's father, who became an outmode who has "only a few miles left" if he can't find any more spare parts to sustain himself.
- She is very cruel to her blacksmith workers who are loyal to her and have done all the work she gave them all day long. This is shown when she gives them only a few seconds of break time, then tells them that break time is over with a cackle as the workers groan.
- She chained her own husband to the ceiling, as she shows him to Ratchet and threatens to have him chained to the ceiling as well if he doesn't do what she wants.
- Even if it is not confirmed, she is probably responsible of Ratchet's villainy. It is shown by the fact that Ratchet initially hesitated to obey to her before seeing none problem to execute all her orders.
- She mentions having stolen brain parts for her son.
- When she finds out someone (Rodney) is repairing the outmodes in Robot City, she orders Ratchet to not simply stop him, but to crush him and destroy him.
- She is impressed when Ratchet invents a version of the Sweeper that is more dangerous, as it is designed to shred any outmodes and spare parts in its path.
- She attempts to attack Fender when she sees that she overheard their conversation, and when he's flung into the furnace, she laughs with delight at his presumed death.
- She captures Mr. Bigweld and attempts to dump him into the furnace with sadistic pleasure.
- When Bigweld calls her out as a twisted, evil robot, she doesn't even deny it, smiling while saying "I try", fully accepting her villainy and malicious nature.
- When the outmodes and Gasket's workers clash inside the Chop Shop, she and Ratchet attempt to kill the outmodes all at once using Ratchet's advanced Sweepers.
- Despite having some comedic moments, such as when Fender mistaken her as a sir, she is still taken seriously in-universe and her worst crimes are played for horror and nightmare fuel.
- Her fate to be thrown into the furnace and being blown to pieces is entirely played for the satisfaction because she actively helps her son in his plots against Bigweld and all outmodes but she also encourages him to become more evil.
What Prevents Her from Being Pure Evil?[]
- Despite her sometimes being harsh on her son, there are a few interactions which show that they have a very close bond with each other. Even before her death, she harshly commands Ratchet to let go of her so that he can save himself from being thrown into the furnace, implying that she does care for him.
Trivia[]
- Gasket is one of the two characters from Robots to be Near Pure Evil, the other being her son Phineas T. Ratchet. Coincidentally, their counterparts, Mr. Bigweld and Rodney Copperbottom respectively, are Pure Good.
- Robots is also the only Blue Sky Studios production to have more than one Near Pure Evil.
- Her Novelization lacks any care for her son and sees him as extension of herself and may qualify as Pure Evil.
