“ | And still, you hid this form? You must have been seeing the world in the same way I was. The unlimited greed of humans has sent the world spinning into chaos! Have you not felt that? If I had not raised my objections, the world would continue on its warped path! But now you choose to appear. What could possibly be left to defend? YOU HAVE NO RIGHT!!!!! | „ |

His Evil Ranking[]
What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Evil?[]
- He tricked Alain into going along with his plans, by telling him that this would help Chespie recover, causing Alain to be stricken with grief when Lysandre's true intentions were revealed. When Malva rants about Lysandre's manipulation towards Alain, Lysandre replies that everything he had said to Alain is technically not a lie.
- Has Xerosic brainwash Zygarde to help him.
- Attacked the Kalos region to exterminate the citizens there, laying waste to Lumiose City, which led to the entire Kalos region being damaged even after his death.
- Attempted to kill everyone on Earth except the "chosen ones."
- Tortured both Ash and Greninja, and attempted to brainwash them, once Ash and Alain later defies him Lysandre declares that they should be gone and plans to kill them.
- After his plan failed, he assisted his other machine, the Megalith, to collide with the Anistar City Sundial in order to wipe out all of humanity on Earth, knowing well that it would do so.
- Similar to his game counterpart, he's dead-set on his goal and refuses any offer to back down from it.
- He had multiple destructive lasers fired towards the Kalos Gym Leaders and Ash's friends, which includes children, intending to burn them to death.
- While he had a legitimately tragic backstory, he is far past it. Even if he was offended by people asking for more than they already had, it doesn't excuse torturing children or innocent Pokémon, or committing mass murder or full genocide on them, considering only the poor people were the ones who offended him, yet he and his people target every single human except the ones from Team Flare and the "chosen ones". Not to mention he enjoys everything of it, making him destroy whatever sympathy his tragedy could give him.
- While he does have a motive of believing that humanity's entitlement renders the world beyond saving, he comes off as more concerned with "eliminating the ugly parts of the world" due to how he dismisses any alternative to improving the world as naive, and him telling Zygarde's complete form it has no right after claiming there couldn't be anything left to defend makes his motives and end goal come off as egocentric, which is especially shown when he keeps trying to get the Giant Rock to merge with the Anistar Sundial in his refusal to accept defeat.
What Prevents Him from Being Pure Evil?[]
- He cares for his Gyarados, since Gyarados is able to Mega Evolve, which requires a strong bond between trainer and Pokémon.
Trivia[]
- This is the only version of Lysandre to be Near Pure Evil, as his video game counterpart was too sympathetic and had genuine well-intentions.
