Lucas Wookville, is a overarching antagonist who appears in Joe Venture. He is the primary archenemy towards Joebotnik who seeked to get revenge since the very start of Joe Venture.
His Evil Ranking[]
What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Evil?[]
School timeline[]
- He was responsible for getting other classmates in 5th grade up to 6th grade like Fernado and Kaniyah to be hostile towards Joe for the things Joe has and they don't (ex. good looks, good social skills and good grades).
Joe Venture[]
- Ever since day one in 2019; it is revealed that he was responsible for summoning The Gatekeeper in order for him to have his wishes made true with having Joe tortured as much as they needed him to be, all so everyone in the group and The Gatekeeper can revel in Joebotnik's suffering as a form of "payback" after Lucas condemned Joebotnik to suffer in a fate worse than death.
- As the leader of his own group, he used his magic to gather Joe's worst rivals and nuisances in the past, solely to target and torment Joe.
- Once he and his group get to meet The Gatekeeper, he was the first with the ambition to see Joe getting tortured in a cosmic warp hole for the fun of it. He even takes what they don't like about Joe (being loud and a "weirdo"), and gaslights The Gatekeeper into thinking Joe was some form of public nuisance as a form of collective slander, libel, defamation, propaganda and harassment. Which was taken quite seriously in the narrative.
- As soon as he is first introduced, he boasts about incriminating Joebotnik and jeers at Joe being someone deserving to suffer fatal consequences for the "mistakes" Joe made as a child in their time, Lucas initiated this out of pure spite, pure hatred and sheer vengeance towards the guy (even after growing up). He also lied about the fact Joe attempting to apologize or reason with Lucas will automatically render it useless; just to make Joe's predicament more complicated and cryptic on purpose, making him out to be a extremely petty person who always held grudges against Joe since 5th grade.
- He crossed the Moral Even Horizon by encouraging The Gatekeeper to torture Joebotnik as much as he wants to before Joe had confronted him, his group and The Gatekeeper themselves in the Ninth Dimension. Resulting in Joebotnik being tortured for 10 years in this figurative cosmic loophole of hell, and The Gatekeeper added 50 more years of suffering to Joe up until The Grand Finale (which was allowed to happen because of Lucas).
- When Joebotnik initially refused to apologize to him and his group after Lucas boasted and reveled in antagonizing Joe and making him suffer, Lucas was the first to tell The Gatekeeper to initiate the torture with putting Joe through countless situations in many galaxies and universes against Joe's will. And The Gatekeeper was told by Lucas to brutally swat Joe like a fly with a flyswatter and later Lucas sadistically taunts him as Joe as he is falling down the warp hole, feeling miserable and exhausted.
- He planned to use The Gatekeeper's magic to conquer anything he wanted, gain power and have all the riches he could ever want, and Lucas would use his own magic to harm anyone if other people like Yarko for example, refused to side with his group he made since 2019. This was before The Gatekeeper gave Lucas rules to follow.
- He works alongside The Gatekeeper, and equally have shown to revel in Joe's suffering as much as The Gatekeeper does.
- He served The Gatekeeper since 2019 as a lab scientist, all as a trade to keep himself alive and entertained in watching Joebotnik suffer from predicament after predicament.
- Even when Joebotnik in the Third Dimension (as Joogie Boogie) forced everyone in the group to be his esteemed pawns while working with Oogie Boogie, Lucas only did it under his own accord, and he showed no concern in his and his group's attempt to overthrow Joe in his bogeyman form as Joogie (which Lucas worked with his group to attempt deceiving Joe and Oogie despite repeatedly failing at it). While he and the group managed to help his group escape from Joe, he and the group then crawled back to The Gatekeeper, and was willing to dedicate their loyalty to The Gatekeeper so they don't end up becoming torture experiments like Joebotnik was. (Which was all under Lucas' plan of action)
- When Joebotnik takes full advantage in confronting The Gatekeeper and tries to get Lucas, his group and The Gatekeeper arrested in The Ninth Dimension, Lucas was the first to attempt lying and incriminating Joe in front of the news anchor and police officers. He attempted to gaslight everyone Joe summoned, with the lie of Joe being a "abusive sociopath" in order to defend himself, his group and The Gatekeeper from being arrested when they were caught. He would've succeeded at outfoxing Joe if he was more honest and had a more convincing excuse, especially since Joe used all of his brainpower and resourcefulness to successfully prevent his lies from going through the heads of the news anchors, lawyers and policemen Joebotnik summoned to defeat Lucas and his nine allies on a whim.
- Although The Gatekeeper forced him and his group into working for him, this does not make Lucas or his group considered to be "Villains by Proxy", as he was already an envious rival of Joe during the school timeline, and Lucas still became a con-artist who seeked to target Joebotnik once he obtained a magic amulet. He also enjoys in the sadistic acts as he considers Joebotnik's suffering to be valued as a gift he's always wanted to see in a long time.
- He is arguably one of Joebotnik's most personal enemies alongside The Gatekeeper and Lucas' own group of 8 people, due to being responsible for causing the worst actions created by The Gatekeeper, like keeping Joe in a cosmic loophole that remained as a fate worse than death.
What Prevents Him from Being Pure Evil?[]
- Even though his plans and advancements were taken seriously in the narrative, Lucas at many points, had some comedic moments here and there that offsets his vile nature.
- A good example of this is in the Third Dimension, before Lucas and his group of eight went back to The Gatekeeper to work for him upon escaping said realm with their magical armor Joe granted them with limitations, Lucas and his group got degraded into being comic-relief punching bags for Joebotnik to torment them as a form of payback and comeuppance while Joe was in his persona as "Joogie Boogie". Where Joe (as Joogie Boogie) treated them all as submissive pawns of his and Oogie's, with Lucas being labelled #1 for instigating the torment onto Joe to begin with.
- Another good example is his defeat of him and his group received in the Ninth Dimension of Joe Venture. Where Joe inflicted said defeat onto them and attempted to do so with The Gatekeeper. Where he and his group have a justified Butt-Monkey type of defeat as Joe claims Lucas' false lie as a "abusive sociopath" was attempted gaslighting towards the cosmic news reporter Joe summoned, and it results in him and his group all getting tied up together, arrested and sent to juvenile jail by the cosmic policemen Joe spawned.
- Even though Lucas stands out for being the sadistic leader of the group with fairly high resources, he (alongside his group of 8 people) don't have enough personality and characterization than Joebotnik McCricket and The Gatekeeper themselves, two major characters who are fully developed throughout the course of the story of Joe Venture.
- Despite the majority of his petty actions being treated as unforgivable towards Joe in-universe; he and his group play a minor role in the offenses. Meaning he isn't as active as The Gatekeeper, a ruthless magi-scientist who has tortured Joebotnik singlehandedly for 60 years in total with the sadistic motive of using Joe's torment, torturing mortals and reports of Joe's resourcefulness solely for The Gatekeeper's own research. Meanwhile, Lucas and his group of eight just continue with their hobbies while watching The Gatekeeper doing his job of torturing Joe (and watching anything that Joe does) like it's a drive-in movie for them, as well as testing out gadgets for The Gatekeeper to use so he and his group could get equally paid by The Gatekeeper.
- Despite being hardly played for sympathy in the slightest, he seems to suffer from a intense mental illness with Narcissistic Personality Disorder; this explains why he acts egotistical and narcissistic (almost) non-stop to a fault.
- Because of this, he has a minor dose of moral agency issues. Where Lucas has shown to go towards extreme lengths like taking his hatred for Joe to end up being super sadistic and remorseless towards Joe; showing how aggressive he is with his sadistic propaganda schemes, and despite this, he is protective of his group that sides with him and treats them all nicely and lets him all equally enjoy Joebotnik's suffering as a group of nine as long they're just as petty as him. However, he does have some limited intelligence and is fully aware of his actions, making this a minor prevention.
