Lord Slug (in Japanese: スラッグ, Suraggu, sometimes referred to as just "Slug") is a Super Namekian and the titular main antagonist of the 1991 film Dragon Ball Z: Lord Slug.
His Evil Ranking[]
What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Evil?[]
- For centuries, he invaded and conquered multiple planets, contaminating, freezing and making them part of his ship, so it is very likely that his body count is in millions, if not billions.
- He invades Earth and has every intention of conquering it and making it part of his ship, endangering the lives of everyone who lives there.
- He kills one of his henchmen simply for inadvertently saying he was old and then he kills another henchman simply because he told him how long it would take them to conquer the land.
- After gaining eternal youth, he plans to rule the universe forever by turning all the planets into parts of his ship.
- He brutally beats up Goku, and if he hadn't transformed into a fake Super Saiyan, he certainly would have killed him.
- He tries to kill Piccolo, not caring at all that he is a member of his race.
- He has no redeeming qualities and although he was exiled from Planet Namek when he was just a baby, this clearly doesn't excuse anything he does and he doesn't even use it as an excuse to justify his actions.
- Because the movie is non-canon, he is from a different continuity than villains like King Piccolo, Frieza, Cell and Kid Buu, and does not need to compare to them.
What Prevents Him from Being Pure Evil?[]
- His conquest of many planets is completely off screen.
- In the Japanese dub (the original) it is said that he was born with a strange Namekian mutation that caused only his evil instincts to develop and he became pure evil. Therefore, it could be said that, at least in the original dub, Slug has moral agency issues.
