“ | Ludwig: You constantly whine about how poor old you never got into college, as if you were the only person who's ever been turned down from anything ever! "Boo-bloody-hoo, I'll just blame everybody but myself for my own failures and murder them all out of spite!" Grow up! | „ |
~ Ludwig describing Fawful's backstory as a petty excuse to kill people. |
Lord Fawful Freibrecher (or just Fawful) is a major antagonist in the sprite-animated sitcom Bowser’s Koopalings made by FreezeFlame22, serving as the secondary antagonist of the Season 5 two-parter finale "Ludwig’s Dilemma" and the overarching of the Season 6 episode "Morton & Lemmy: Fantastic Voyage".
In the past, he served as the iron chancellor and right-hand man of King Johann XVI during Mushroom World War 2 and helped him in conquering every kingdom on the continent. When Johann XVI’s brother, Johann XVII, replaced him as king and fired Fawful from his position because he believed that he wanted too much power. After being fired, Fawful had time on his hands to build the various inventions we see in the present, like his Fawfulcopters and the Drain Gun, as well as fund his own company, SmileTech Industries, so that he could regain wealth and influence throughout the kingdom which is how he met the than young Johann XVIII and managed to regain his position after getting him to the throne.
In the present, he serves as Johann XVIII’s right-hand man, and conspire against the kingdom by planning to use the Oblivion Cannon to wipe out it’s middle and low-class population, as well as all the tourists who were visiting for Chuckola Fest so that they could restore the kingdom to its former glory.
He is voiced by YoshiEgg95.
His Evil Ranking[]
What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Evil?[]
In General[]
- Although he did grow up with abusive parents who wasted all of their money on alcohol and prevented him from getting into a good collage, it doesn’t make him tragic, due to it never really being played for sympathy. This is even exemplified by him going way too far with his actions in addition to even Ludwig pointing out the all-around pathetic excuse of his argument.
- His way of speaking English and the comments he makes don’t detract from his villainy, as most of them only serve to exemplify how horrible he is, and he is still taken mostly seriously after his and Johann’s plans are reviled to the characters.
- Any care he might have for his allies is either shallow, fake or non-existent:
- He constantly berates and insults Midbus, his right-hand man, for being stupid and even leaves him to be arrested at the end.
- Although he doesn’t abuse his Fawfulcopters, he’s care for them is rather shallow due the fact that he programed them to compliment everything he says, proving that he only sees them as a way to fuel his own ego.
- Even though he does get along with him, he clearly doesn’t care about Johann XVIII, as he only sees him as someone who he can manipulate to achieve his goals. This is shown when one of his Fawfulcopters asks him what they are going to do about him after they flee the country, Fawful says to screw him.
- Although he also got along with Johann XVI, it’s likely that he was only loyal to Johann out of fanaticism and because the latter shared his beliefs.
- Despite the high Heinous Standards of FreezeFlame22, Fawful manages to stand out, due to making Johann’s attempted genocide on his own kingdom possible by creating the Oblivion Cannon and showing a lot more sadism in committing these actions than Johann.
Background[]
- In the past, he served King Johann XVI as his iron chancellor and right-hand man, helping him in conquering every kingdom on the continent.
- He suggested to Johann XVII to execute everyone in the kingdom who had the flu, which caused him to rightfully lose his position of power.
- It’s strongly implied that he is responsible for Johann XVIII becoming the monster he is, as Fawful met him as a child after funding SmileTech Industries and described him as “a sickly boy who was weak and easy to operate”.
- He and Johann conspired to have Ludwig’s mother, Sophia, killed because she didn’t agree with their goals and eventually executed her and Reinhold, as their bodies are seen in the sewer when Ludwig falls down there.
Bowser’s Koopalings[]
- He sent his Fawfulcopters to steal the Green Star.
- It’s reviled by Dummkopf, the journalist who interviewed him, that Fawful’s company, SmileTech Industries, underpays, overworks and mistreats several of its own employees which he shows no concern about at all.
- He ordered Midbus to use the Drain Gun on Dummkopf which ended up sucking out his life force and leaving him as a drained up dead corpse which is never confirmed to be reversible.
- It’s also reviled that he uses the life force of the people he drains it from to keep himself alive, and it’s also heavily implied that Dummkopf wasn’t his first victim if the confirmations of there being several people that disappeared under his watch and him being 119 year old are anything to go by.
- He created the Oblivion Cannon (a much stronger version of the Drain Gun) which he and Johann were going to use in order to eradicate the middle and low-class population of the Bohnenkraut Kingdom, as well as all of the tourists from the Koopa Kingdom who were attending the Chuckola Fest.
- He planned to kill Ludwig while they were on their way to Joke’s End by throwing him into the bottom of Hoohoo Mountain.
- He apparently hit one of the Snow Bros. solders when he tried to take out the Green Star.
- When Johann orders him to activate the Oblivion Cannon and destroy Karhar City, Fawful does so while sadistically chuckling, and is seen being overjoyed after the city is destroyed.
- In the end, he managed to successfully flee the kingdom and get away with all of his crimes.
- In "Morton & Lemmy: Fantastic Voyage", he stole $ 10.000 dollars from Bowser in exchange for information about the location of the Red Star, but instead gave Bowser a sandwich that had a virus which not only made Bowser very sick, but also made him suck up things that were in his surroundings, including people like Popple and Birdo and animals.
- The said virus also attempted to kill Lemmy, Morton, Popple and Birdo by shooting energy blasts at them.
What Prevents Him from Being Pure Evil?[]
- He still has some detracting comedic moments, such as him noticing that the Green Star was stolen and him getting mad at Midbus for playing Heist Silhouette Folklore instead of listening to his “epic monologue of wisdom”. This is a minor prevention, however, as these moments come before his and Johann’s plans are reviled to the characters, after which he is taken a lot more seriously.
Trivia.[]
- This is the only version of Fawful to be Near Pure Evil.
- Considering that he is confirmed to be alive by the end of Ludwig's Dilemma, It's possible that Fawful's status could be effected if he ever returns in the future.
