“ You lie. You had strength to spare. I never stood a chance. It wasn't even a battle. So much for prophecies. You were too strong... Saitama... „
~ Lord Boros's last words to Saitama.

Lord Boros is a major antagonist in the manga/anime series One Punch Man, serving as the main antagonist in the Alien Conquerors Arc. He is the leader of the Dark Matter Thieves, a group of pirate aliens who invade other planets. Boros' personal goal is to find an opponent who is worthy of his might, so he traveled to Planet Earth to fight Saitama.

He was voiced by ‎Toshiyuki Morikawa in the Japanese version, and Chris Jai Alex in the English dubbed version, the former whom had also voiced Yoshikage Kira, Bellion and Sephiroth.

His Evil Ranking[]

What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Evil?[]

  • He conquered and destroyed multiple planets and killed billions of beings throughout the universe while searching for the warrior who would give him a worthy battle.
  • Upon finally reaching Earth, he destroys all of City A, killing millions of innocents in the process.
  • He did not seem to care in the least that Saitama killed his men, and during his battle against him, his blows were so strong that as collateral damage they even destroyed his own men en masse, showing a lack of restraint.
  • After telling his story to Saitama, the latter calls him out saying that being bored with his life did not give him the right to conquer multiple planets and kill millions of people just to find the one who would give him a worthy fight. This is backed up by the fact that Saitama also was - and still is - bored with his life, and yet he did not become an omnicidal maniac like Boros.
  • Upon being outmatched by Saitama, Boros decides to use all his power to destroy the entire earth, attempting to kill Saitama and all the human beings in the world, and it would have succeeded if Saitama had not repelled his attack.
  • Despite the large number of monsters in the series who commit all sorts of gruesome acts, Boros still stands out for having the highest body count of all known villains so far and for being the only one who tried to destroy the entire world.

What Prevents Him from Being Pure Evil?[]

  • He is genuinely affable and honorable to Saitama, demanding that he give him a great fight and showing him respect in his final moments, calling him a worthy opponent.
  • His death is portrayed with some sympathy.

Trivia[]

  • So far, Lord Boros is the only One Punch Man villain to be Near Pure Evil.
