Loki is the main antagonist of the 2013 video game LEGO Marvel Super Heroes. He is the adopted son of Odin and the adoptive brother of Thor who seeks to get revenge on the latter by trying to destroy Earth and Asguard.

He was voiced by Troy Baker, who also voiced Brainiac in Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes and Thomas Wayne in Batman: The Telltale Series.

His Evil Ranking[]

What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Evil?[]

In General[]

  • While he has several comedic moments throughout the game, most of them don’t detract from his crimes, with his comedic moments being more down to Earth (most of his comedic revolves around his deadpan snark) and less over the top in comparison to the other villains  who are consistently portrayed in a hammy fashion. In fact, by the end of the game once he  starts mind controlling Galactus after revealing his plan to have him eat Earth and Asguard, he temporarily stops being funny and becomes more serious, at least until he and Galactus get defeated and sent into a portal. Additionally, his plan to destroy Earth and Asguard is portrayed seriously as well.
    • Furthermore, in the game,it’s shown that SHEILD consider him a massive threat, with everyone panicking upon learning that he has escaped.

Past[]

  • It’s implied by Agent Culson that he once tried to invade earth, similar to the MCU incarnation, explaining why he was locked up in the raft at the beginning of the game.

Lego Marvel Super Heroes[]

  • Tricked Dr. Doom into luring Galactus to Earth by letting him have several villains get the cosmic bricks in order to build his doom ray, only to latter betray them once all of them were defeated
  • Left other villains by themselves whenever any avengers caught up to them (e.g Mandirin, Aldrich Killian, Red Skull, Arnin Zola, etc)
  • Knocked out Hawkeye and Black Widow when they got into Red Skull’s base.
  • Took control of the Destroyer on Asgard and had it attack Thor, Captain America, Human Torch, and Wolverine.
  • Used Dr. Doom’s Doom Ray and  began taking control of Galactus so that he could eat Earth and later Asgard as revenge for him not getting heir to the throne of the latter.

Lego Marvel Super Heroes 2[]

  • Upon being saved by Kang, he immediately went back to Asgard and tricked Odin into going on on a fool's errand to find Thor in Manhattan, leaving him as ruler of Asgard
  • Trapped 2 Egyptian interns (one of them being Horus), as well as Captain America, Thor, Dr. Strange, Hulk, and Captain Marvel into a Sphinx where he made them go through trials while disguised as a pharaoh.
  • Awakened N'Kantu the living mummy so that he would attack the Avengers and Horus.

What Prevents Him from Being Pure Evil?[]

  • While most of his comedy isn’t too detracting, there are 2 moments that definitely are, both in the first and second game after he is defeated. In the first game, after he and Galactus are sent into a portal by Thor and Hulk (with the doom ray Loki was using be destroyed by Thor) stranded alone and Galactus becomes free of his control, he comically asks him if they could talk about this, only for Galactus to refuse and try and eat him. In the second game, after getting defeated by the avengers, he is later forced to fix all the Sphinx’s he had defiled while getting whipped several times by Horus, with Loki telling him to stop it and saying he was moving in a annoyed manner.
