Alexander "Lex" Luthor is a major antagonist in the Cartoon Network animated series DC Super Hero Girls and the secondary antagonist of its 2022 direct-to-video spin-off film Teen Titans Go! & DC Super Hero Girls: Mayhem in the Multiverse..

He is the wealthy CEO of LexCorp who presents himself as a philanthropist, while secretly planning to take over the world and destroy his superhero enemies.

He was voiced by Will Friedle.

His Evil Ranking[]

What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Evil?[]

Main Series[]

  • While he was upset at his sister Lena's mass vandalism in "Sweet Justice," this is likely just because she destroyed places that he liked.
  • In "#AllyCat," he lured a number of superheroes to be held captive in Metropolis, including the Super Hero Girls themselves. For reasons discussed below, he also likely intended for all his prisoners to die.
  • Thanks to the prophetic Book of Eternity, he knew a giant meteor was headed for Metropolis that day (in his words, "we're talking death of the dinosaurs stuff, an extinction-level event!"), and he planned to capitalize on the meteor causing mass death and destruction in Metropolis and perhaps the world. He planned that, in the aftermath of this destruction, he would use his vast resources to rebuild Metropolis in his image and have the survivors look to him as a savior. Then, he would do the same for the rest of Earth to take it over.
    • While he didn't know it was possible to alter prophecy, he's still responsible for the destruction he knew would happen since the prophecy doesn't seem to specify the casualties (and Catwoman implies there's still something Lex could've done by asking, "You're really going to let all those people die?"), and by imprisoning superheroes he was knowingly putting the people of Metropolis in worse danger. This isn't fridge horror since he outright says, "for those plans to work, I need there to be a distinct lack of superheroes in Metropolis," showing this was his intent.
  • At the end of the "#AllyCat," despite being defeated, he was cleared of all his charges and prevented the public from learning about his evil nature; so apart from Catwoman stealing much of his property, he goes largely unpunished for his crimes.

Teen Titans Go! & DC Super Hero Girls: Mayhem in the Multiverse[]

  • After discovering the Amulet, he knowingly worked with Cythonna in order to take over the world.
  • He gathered a number of supervillains to found the Legion of Doom.
  • He had the Legion of Doom trap various superheroes in the Phantom Zone. While it isn't painful in and of itself, he likely planned to keep them there forever.
  • He and the Legion of Doom took over the world by defacing the moon as a display of power, extorting everybody into meeting their demands within 23 hours.

What Prevents Him from Being Pure Evil?[]

  • "#AllyCat," the episode where he's the biggest threat, also has numerous comedic moments that detract from his villainy such as his password being "Lex rules," his weird dance sequence as he's grabbing a drink and dodging the heroes' attacks, and his plan to rename Earth to "Luthearth" after taking it over. However, the threat he poses to Earth is still taken seriously, making it a minor prevention.
  • He has a Pet the Dog moment in allowing Catwoman to escape Metropolis by helicopter before the meteor hits the city. He doesn't appear to have anything to personally gain from doing this.
