| ā | The marriages were for the money, of course. But the horror... The horror was for love. The things we do for love like this are ugly, mad, full of sweat and regret. This love burns you and maims you and... twists you inside out. It is a monstrous love, and it makes monsters of us all. | ā |

Her Evil Ranking[]
What Makes Her Close to Being Pure Evil?[]
- During her childhood, she murdered her own mother Lady Beatrice Sharpe in her bathtub with a cleaver after the latter found out about her incestuous relationship with her brother Thomas. This caused Lucille to be transferred to an Asylum on Switzerland.
- She and Thomas started a plot to murder her brotherās brides for inheritance and fortune. However, in contrast to Thomas, Lucille seems to enjoy killing her victims the most.
- She murders Carter Cushing, the latter being Edithās father, just because he found out about her and her brotherās dark past.
- After Edith finds out about her incestuous relationship with her brother, Lucille pushes the latter from a balcony, hoping to kill her but only breaking her leg.
- She stabs Edithās childhood friend Alan McMichael in the armpit and later orders Thomas to kill him.
- By the time she threatens Edith to sign some papers, she revealed in a sadistic manner that she was the one who murdered her father.
- Once Lucille realizes that Thomas fell in love with Edith and doesnāt want to do their scheme anymore, she kills him in a fit of rage.
- Lucille then tries to kill Edith, only to be killed with the help of the ghost of Thomas.
What Prevents Her from Being Pure Evil?[]
- She genuinely loves her brother Thomas, as they have a close bond, and when she killed him, she cried out of remorse for killing the man she loves.
- Despite not justifying her heinous actions and crimes, she has a tragic past as her mother abused both her and her brother Thomas when they were kids. However, given that she murdered her mother, Thomasā brides and Carter Cushing, she is more considered a Fake Tragic rather than Minor Tragic.
Trivia[]
- She is the first Near Pure Evil villain to come from a Guillermo Del Toro film.
