Kronos is the overarching antagonist of the 2013 fantasy film Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters, the second installment of 20th Century Studios' Percy Jackson film series based on Rick Riordan's Percy Jackson & the Olympians novel series. He is a catalysis and dark presence who is the king of the Titans, he is the sworn enemy of The Greek Gods, including the Olympians.

He was voiced by Robert Knepper.

What Makes Him Close To Being Pure Evil?

• Long ago, he ruled the world alongside the rest of the Titans, and he even devoured his own children.
• When he's sealed into the depths of tartarus, he vowed revenge against Olympus and the world and would've destroyed both if he was released.
• When he got released by Luke Castellan, he called him his "favorite" before devouring him immediately.
• He then tried to kill Percy Jackson, and when he said he's going to defeat him with the sword Poseidon used to defeat him, he said his destiny was written long ago before trying to crush him but then being defeated.
• Since Percy was not yet 20, he may have to fight Kronos again.
• While he did resurrect Thalia, daughter of Zeus, it's pragmatic as it's needed for a secret plan.
• Due to only two novels being adapted, he stood out as the most heinous character in the film series.

What Prevents Him From Being Pure Evil?

• He suffered from insufficient characterization, as he had two lines only and didn't have that much screen time.

Trivia

• The film series was planned to have five films just like how the novel series had five novels. However, the plans never came to fruition, and there's only two films. Had the film series gained three more films just like how it's supposed to gain, his status as Near Pure Evil may be affected as while he may be characterized enough to be higher, the villains his book version fails to may also be adapted.
