A greedy man once yearned for more, so the fool began to borrow. He ate and drank and told the bank, "I'll pay the debt tomorrow." But as both dolt and purse grew fat, the calendar grew thinner. The debt collector had enough and hungered for his dinner. The coward ran, with coin in hand, but come dawn, lost his breath. The fool was caught, 'twas all for naught, for the collector's name was Death.
~ Kostas Becker

Kostas Becker is the main antagonist of The Simpsons two-parter Season 33 episode "A Serious Flanders".

He is a ruthless, homicidal debt collector and the most dangerous criminal mastermind in America.

He was voiced by Brian Cox, who also played William Stryker in X2, Agamemnon in Troy and Mr. Kreeg in Trick 'r Treat.

His Evil Ranking[]

What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Evil?[]

  • He killed Sheriff Flanders, and even though it was an accident he felt no remorse for it, only caring that he lost the money Sheriff Flanders hid.
  • He was a debt collector who forced innocent people into paying their debts or they die if they don't.
  • He had The Rich Texan kidnapped and killed for not paying his debt, with him having two confirmed kills before.
  • When Seamus and Colette brought Homer Simpson to Becker instead of Ned, Becker told them not to kill Homer and decided to use him as leverage against Ned.
  • During his fight against the Mafia, he used Disco Stu as a human shield, getting him killed.
    • The fight also resulted in the death of Mr. Burns, as he was shot by Fat Tony after he came in asking for a free donut.
  • He killed Tony’s mafia, before taking Fat Tony into the kitchen and killing him by turning his face into a donut. While he killed the mafia in self-defense, this later action was not. His crime in Lard Lad's Donuts was so gruesome that it even shocked Snake Jailbird (a dangerous criminal) of all people, just when Snake was about to rob Lard Lad's Donuts. In fact, he renounced his life of crime and became a born-again Christian because of it.
    • His crime even made Chief Wiggum scared and distraught, even going so far as to proclaim to not eat a donut again (even though he still eats donuts). What's more is that Wiggum called him Satan and that he was not brave enough to take him down. Chief Wiggum decides to resign and put Lou in charge of the police.
  • He tried to gun down Ned, Homer and Marge in Ned's cabin.
  • He attempted to strangle Ned Flanders to death.

What Prevents Him from Being Pure Evil?[]

  • He is sometimes played for laughs, such as him telling his men he won't bring the whole head of the Rich Texan to them as United only lets you have one bag, Disco Stu singing Staying Alive when Kostas is using him as a human shield, him telling Ned he will take the money when he least suspects it with this being the only time he shouldn't, his telling of the parable of Lucifer and the millipede being skipped through, and his death being an overly long gag.
