No princess, I'm afraid it's a lot simpler then you think... I'm a bad person. But there's nothing wrong with that, because sometimes, the bad people do the best job, because their not concerned about pathetic kindergarten morals...
~ Kleriya to Moonquill.

Kleriya Offentus is a major antagonist of Crystallic’s Starbound Trilogy. She serves as an unseen overarching antagonist of Starbound: The Black Nebula and Starbound: Rise of the Stargazers, and one of the two secondary antagonists of Starbound: The Glitch Empire. She is a sadistic and short tempered miniknog admiral who loves having power and control over others. She is Tatasia and Kong’s mother, and the formers arch enemy, as the two are shown to strongly despise each over.

Her Evil Ranking[]

What Makes Her Close to Being Pure Evil?[]

Background[]

  • She framed her parents for treason when she joined the Miniknog, all out of petty spite of her being raised in poverty, despite her parents trying her best to raise her and genuinely caring for her. This got her parents tortured to death, something she knew would happen.
  • She blamed her children for her husbands death, despite them only being children.
  • She abused Tatasia and Kong really badly as children, acting more like a drill sergeant and prison warden then a mother, physically punishing them every time they messed up or even questioned her. She even put them through intense training. One time, she endangered her kids lives during training, sending an Oogler after them to make them go faster. She even stated that if they died, they “didn’t deserve to be her children in the first place”. Tatasia even stated that she endangered them at every turn.
  • She regularly tortured apex rebels in prison, and would often leave them alive afterwards just so they’d live with the trauma. Although, sometimes she would kill some if it meant she could put other prisoners through more suffering.
  • She killed thousands of rebels by putting them in a giant shredder.
  • She assisted the Miniknog in many crimes, such as ruling the apex with an iron fist, incriminating and killing rebels, forging diseases, unethical experiments and much more.
  • She tortured her own son, Kong, to death after he and his sister rebelled, and made her daughter, Tatasia, watch it. Afterwards, she cut off Tatasia’s arm with a saw and sent her into space.
  • She joined the Glitch Empire to assist them with their invasions and conquering.

The Glitch Empire[]

  • She tried to capture both crews after they escaped.
  • She assaulted Moonquill after she ditched the mission to capture the escaped crews, which angered Stormlance of all people.
  • She helped raid Solunar Nexus, directly targeting Solunar Nexus V, where she captured Tatasia after beating her badly, and threatening to kill Nightheart.
  • She often encouraged Stormlance to take part in awful acts, and praised him when he did, showing she was likely trying to corrupt him into becoming a worse tyrant. She even kept encouraging him to kill his own adopted daughter.
  • She helped the glitch empire commit genocide against protectors, stating that it would be fun.
  • She intended to betray Stormlance after he destroyed most of the universe, intending to take over everything he claimed and rule as a vicious dictator.
  • She brutally injured Kumiko during the climax, beating and torturing her graphically out of spite and anger. Kumiko nearly died from this, and only survived thanks to Katsu, Lexie and some surgeons. Even so, Kumiko was paralysed to a wheelchair for life as a result.
  • She tried to kill Tatasia, Nightheart and Katsu in the climax, as well as Kumiko. She even tried to plunge both Tatasia and Nightheart in the shredder.

What Prevents Her from Being Pure Evil?[]

  • She genuinely loved her late husband, despite not admitting it. His death took a negative impact on her, which lead her to lashing out against everyone else even more then she already did, especially her children, and even accused Tatasia of “leaving him to die”, despite Tatasia being a child at the time. She also mourned him alone due to not wanting to be seen as "weak." However, this doesn’t excuse her abuse towards her children or any of her actions whatsoever, so this is rather a minor prevention.

Trivia[]

  • She is one of three villains from Crystallic’s Starbound Trilogy to be Near Pure Evil, the others being Mika Aikawa and Ezalco Starlight.
