King Snorky is the main antagonist of "Night of the Dolphin", a segment of The Simpsons Halloween special "Treehouse of Horror XI".

He is the vengeful king of the dolphins, who seeks to exact revenge on the human race for banishing his species long ago, by banishing them to the sea himself.

He was voiced by Harry Shearer.

His Evil Ranking[]

What Makes Him Close to being Pure Evil?[]

In General[]

  • Although he has a supposed tragedy as his species being banished from the land and forced to perform tricks for humans' entertainment against their will, he is a hypocrite as he imposes the same fate on humans without remorse.
    • While he was one of the captives being forced to do this, this tragedy is further subverted as he was ungrateful when Lisa freed him and began killing innocents anyway.
  • As the mastermind behind the slaughter against humanity, he stands out greatly among all other dolphins, who only followed his orders. A fellow dolphin even asks Snorky about putting what happened to him behind him, since he was now free again, only for Snorky to scoff and say "no", showing that he cared more about revenge than even some of his followers.

Night of the Dolphin[]

  • After being freed from captivity by Lisa, he gathers his subjects and embarks on a massacre against the humans of Springfield:
    • His dolphins kill Lenny while he is swimming.
    • They devour Captain McCallister when he realizes the threat of them and is aware of their weaknesses.
    • A high-pitched voiced teenager is killed while working.
    • Kent Brockman is killed while reporting the news on TV.
    • Abraham Simpson is swallowed by a dolphin while trying to call for help on the phone.
    • At a town hall meeting among the survivors of the massacre, King Snorky himself bursts in and kills Groundskeeper Willie with the help of his henchmen, causing him to be brutally impaled by one of them.
  • A war between humans and dolphins ensues, resulting in mass murders of both, with the dolphins winning and banishing humanity to the sea.
    • Due to their victory, the humans drown to death, as Krusty the Clown and more than fifty other people are seen dead in the ocean.

What Prevents Him From Being Pure Evil?[]

  • He genuinely cares about his species, as his goal is to give them a better life by living in Springfield, free from the influence of humans. He also never abuses other dolphins, further proving his sense of honor towards them. Although he slapped one of them for getting caught in a net, he still shows interest in giving them a better life.
