Kikimora is a major antagonist of the Disney Channel animated series The Owl House, serving as a supporting antagonist in Season 1, one of two secondary antagonists (alongside the Golden Guard) of Season 2, and a major antagonist in Season 3.
She is Emperor Belos' ruthless and power-hungry assistant who is trying to become his new right-hand woman by any means, mostly by trying to kill his "nephew" Hunter/the Golden Guard. However, after being betrayed by Belos on the Day of Unity, she would help King free Collector, before using the child's chaotic regime over Boiling Isles as an opportunity to start empire of her own. She is also the arch-rival of Hunter.
She was voiced by Mela Lee, who also voiced Melascula in The Seven Deadly Sins.
Her Evil Ranking[]
What Makes Her Close to Being Pure Evil?[]
- The only reason she joined the Emperor's Coven is that she wanted to have a higher rank and more power by siding along with Emperor Belos, so it wasn't out of genuine care, loyalty or insecurity like with Hunter.
- She oversaw Eda's petrification ceremony, personally pushing the lever to activate the spell, which is shown to have been a gruesome process for Eda.
- She tried to steal all palismen from Hexside in order to gice them to Emperor Belos, even trying to kill the Golden Guard/Hunter to take all the credit for the work and hypocritically calling him out for treason.
- She had Interrogated Raine Whispers for leading a group of rebellious bards against the Emperor and openly said to them they will not be punished only because Belos needs all Coven Heads for the Day of Unity and finding replacement for them will raise suspicions.
- While searching for Titan's Blood on the Knee, she regularly threatened her men with death if they failed to bring her the Blood in a Delusional Manner.
- When the Guard Captain asked her what they should do with the captured Amity Blight, she said "Oh, I don't care!", before the captain throws Amity into a pit.
- While she wanted to reunite with her family and accepted Luz's help in helping her escape, she ultimately threw away her own family for selfish reasons after overhearing that she'll be promoted to gain more Power, subverting one of her only redeeming qualities.
- After believing she would be promoted, she tried to capture Luz and Amity and bring them to the Emperor.
- She and Odalia, who both secretly knew about the Draining Spell, worked together to Assist and bring hundreds of Abomatons to Belos like he asked for, only for the means of gaining more Higher power and profit from it for themselves.
- She captured Hunter (actually Luz in illusionary disguise) and brought him to Belos to be his new right-hand, even expressing delight over the thought of Belos Disposing Hunter.
- It was later revealed she overheard each and every conversation between Belos and the Collector, meaning she knew that the Day of Unity is a front for the Draining Spell to kill everyone with Coven sigils all along.
- Additionally, she is also aware of Hunter being a Grimwalker and where Belos keeps the corpses of his predecessors.
- While she helped King free the Collector, she openly said that she's helping solely to get back at Belos for betraying her. And while it's impossible to feel sympathy for Belos after all the horrible atrocities he's committed, Kikimora is still did this because he betrayed her specifically, and not out of remorse or for anyone else Belos has used, including The Collector himself.
- It's worth noting that while King freed the Collector out of desperation and was willing to honor his part of the deal and didn't intend to have him cause chaos, Kikimora knew how powerful and reckless the Collector was, but used his regime as an opportunity to start up her own empire.
- Under a fake identity of Miki, she used Boscha's repressed sadness over Amelia and Cat being turned into puppets to discreetly use her as her puppet ruler of New Hexside.
- She attempted to Destroy Luz and all of her friends to finally get rid of them.
- Though the epilogue shows her doing community service work, this is most likely mandatory since it’s punishment for the crimes she committed in the Boiling Isles, and there is no indication that she regrets her past actions.
What Prevents Her from Being Pure Evil?[]
- She ultimately fails the Heinous Standard to Odalia Blight, who also knew of the truth of the Draining Spell but supplied Belos with Abomatons so that it would be successful.
Trivia[]
- Her voice actress, Mela Lee, also voiced Jade from Mortal Kombat 11, Tikki from Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir series, and Ereshkigal from Fate/Grand Order, all of whom are Near Pure Good, the opposite morality-wise of Kikimora.
- She was originally considered Straight Near Pure Evil before it was decided that she was too comedic and was then made Villainous Benchmark. However, with the addition of Silly Near Pure Evils, she was then re-proposed to Near Pure Evil.
