Kid Buu, also known as Pure Majin Buu, is one of the two secondary antagonists (alongside Cell) of the Dragon Ball franchise.
He appears as one of the two main antagonists (alongside Super Buu) of the Majin Buu saga in Dragon Ball Z, the posthumous overarching antagonist of the Dragon Ball Super series, and a posthumous antagonist in other installments.
He is the original form of Majin Buu and seeks to cause death and destruction to the entire universe. He is the archenemy of Mr. Satan and Good Buu.
He was voice provided by Kozo Shioya in the Japanese version, and by Josh Martin in the English version.

What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Evil?[]
- According to Kibito Kai, Kid Buu does not have the influence of the Kais' goodness inside of him. He is pure, unrestrained evil.
- He destroyed several galaxies across the universe before going into hibernation.
- He went on a rampage across the universe, destroying several hundred planets and even annihilating entire galaxies.
- He didn't care when he nearly killed Bibidi in the process of destroying Planet Alpha, showing he didn't care for him, despite Bibidi having been the one to have revived him, although it's not like Bididi doesn't deserve to die.
- He killed the West, North and South Supreme Kais, which would lead to a future antagonist known as Moro menacing the Z-Fighters. While trying to kill the Universe 7 Supreme Kai, Shin, he absorbed and killed the Grand Supreme Kais instead.
- He destroyed Earth even after Goku begged him not, maniacally laughing while doing so, killing Piccolo, Goten, Trunks, Gohan, Tien, Chiaotzu and Android 17.
- This is also the first time a villain actually succeeded in both destroying Earth and killing Goten, Trunks and Gohan.
- He went from planet to planet looking for Goku and Vegeta, destroying each planet the Saiyans weren't on, intending to kill both of them and then destroy every being in the universe.
- In the anime, after defeating the deceased Krillin and Yamcha, he attempted to kill everyone in the afterlife, which would destroy their souls, before Goku and Vegeta distracted him, prompting Kid Buu to abandon this attempt to seek them out instead.
- He tries to kill Mr. Satan and sadistically toys with him until Fat Buu intervenes.
- He tortured and beat Fat Buu and Vegeta to near death.
- He attempted to use Vegeta as a human shield against Goku's spirit bomb.
- Even after being killed and sent to Other World, he attempts to kill King Yemma.
- His reincarnation into Uub was forced onto him, not something he wanted, so he isn't redeemed.
- His actions led to the events of Dragon Ball Daima, as Gomah, the new king of the Demon Realm, would watch Buu's fight with the Z-Fighters and view them as a threat to his reign, leading to him using the Dragon Balls to turn them into children and forcing them to go on a journey to return themselves to their normal ages.
- He is shown to have a clear sadistic personality and takes glee in causing death and destruction.
- While Dragon Ball has a high heinous standard, he still manages to stand out because he has a very high kill count after Frieza (who kills entire alien species and sells their planets), Zeno (who erased universes), Goku Black and Future Zamasu (who killed everyone in the Future Trunks timeline except Future Trunks and Future Mai), and Moro (who destroyed more planets than him). He and the Gods of Destruction have a kill count of billions which is close, but since he destroyed entire galaxies, he had probably killed more than the Gods of Destruction and even Frieza and Cell, who are Pure Evil. Not to mention he is the first and two of the only villains (besides Frieza) to successfully destroy Earth, killing everyone Goku and Vegeta loved; he also killed the Supreme Kais, and attempted to kill the dead souls in the afterlife, which is unique.
- Despite having few comedic moments, he is still taken completely serious as a threat.
- He has no redeeming qualities and shows no remorse for his actions, and has nothing sympathetic about him.
What Prevents Him from Being Pure Evil?[]
- He is made of evil, and as such, lacks moral agency. He is a demon who was released by Bibidi specifically to be an instrument of galactic conquest and destruction. As such, it is in his nature to be evil, and he is incapable of doing good things.
