Kevin Anderson, born March 28th and better known as O-Dog, is the villainous deuteragonist in the 1993 teen drama film Menace II Society.

He is the most sadistic and brutal juvenile delinquent in his gang. Anderson has lethally short fuse, quick to rage and does not hesitate to kill, also it is implied that he takes sadistic pleasure in hurting people.

He was portrayed by Larenz Tate.

His Evil Ranking[]

What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Evil?[]

  • With the exception of friends and family, he's pretty rude to everyone he comes across, like when he yells at a guy at a gas station just for offering to clean their windshields.
  • Fatally shoots convenience store owner for saying something about his mother, robs him by taking cash out his pockets and demands the store owner's wife to give him the tape, before killing her as well just for screaming; while it is true that the lady followed him around the store and the guy rushed him and Caine out of store, it doesn't excuse his actions
  • He feels no remorse for the killings as he proudly show the tape to his friends, even considering to sell them for $60, all at Caine's disdain.
  • He leaves Harold to die in the street after he and Caine get carjacked and shot
  • He, Caine and A-Wax get revenge on Harold's killers and O Dog was eager to kill them and did not care if innocent bystanders got killed and scolded Caine on their way to finding them for showing uneasiness and concern as he didn't want to hurt innocent people.
  • He and A-Wax are seen selling drugs.
  • He and Caine try to carjack a 1990 Nissan Maximus, only to be caught by the cops.
  • As he, Caine, and A-Wax finally find and kill the men that killed Harold, he threatened to kill the cashier lady there if she kept screaming.
  • He fatally shoots and kicks a crackhead that was trying to sell him a "cheeseburger" for crack because he offered sexual favors; this even disgusts A-Wax.
  • At Ronnie's house, he offers her 5 year old son Anthony some liquor when he asks for some before Caine and Shareef stop him.
  • He's rude and disrespectful to the ladies at his friends gatherings.
  • While he does have a couple of comedic moments, they don't detract from his heinousness and he's still taken seriously

What Prevents Him from Being Pure Evil?[]

  • He truly cares about his friends like Caine, Stacy, A-Wax and Shareef as he looked out for Caine when he was shot, protected the crew by shooting back when Illenas cousin shot up the house and showed sadness when Caine and Shareef were killed. However, he is still pretty rude, tough, and slightly disrespectful towards them at times, making this a minor prevention.
  • He shows genuine respect to his elders like Caine's grandparents and Shareef's father Mr. Butler.
  • Even though he's a very rude and disrespectful person, he shows loyalty to Caine and the people he considers family and friends to.

Trivia[]

  • With Menace II Society based on Martin Scorsese's Goodfellas, O-Dog is loosely based on Tommy DeVito, another NPE character.
