| ~ Sir Stinks-A-Lot's catchphrase. |
Kenny Brian Meaner, also known as Sir Stinks-A-Lot is a major antagonist of the Captain Underpants book series, specially severing as the titular main antagonist of the final Captain Underpants book, Captain Underpants and the Sensational Saga of Sir Stinks-A-Lot, the final installment in the series.
He is George and Harold's grumpy gym teacher at Jerome Horwitz Elementary School, who, like the rest of the staff, is sadistic and abusive and hates children. In the final book, he ate a piece of Zygogogozizzle and became Sir Stinks-A-Lot, a brainwashing maniac who brainwashes children into being mindless obedient slaves.
His Evil Ranking[]
What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Evil?[]
In General[]
- Unlike his Netflix counterpart, the book version of Mr. Meaner has no redeeming qualities and despite having comedic moments, they don't detract from his villainy as he is still taken seriously in-universe, as George and Harold treat his brainwashing on the children and turning into slaves as a thing that needs to be stopped.
- Also while the Zygogogozizzle he ate has alter his brain, the book explicitly states that his evil plans are because he is already an evil person at heart, showing that his moral agency remains in tact.
- While one could argue that he redeemed himself when he was reverted back to his usual stupid self, this is very unlikely, as he would probably stay the same old mean gym teacher he was before, not to mention how he didn't go back to normal by choice.
- While he is shown to get along with Mr. Krupp and the other teachers, his friendship with them was a pragmatic relationship and he only sees them as henchmen and not friends. He also doesn't care when he found out Krupp is Captain Underpants and only stopped hurting him when he absorbed the latter because he had no threat anymore.
- While he claims that he wants to do the world a great service, he isn’t a well-intentioned extremist, as he really just wants to satisfy his own greed and became the most powerful person on earth.
Captain Underpants book series[]
- Even before he turned into a brainwashing maniac, he was a pretty bad gym teacher, as he was very cruel to the children in Jerome Horwitz Elementary, and also sadistically tortures and endangers children for fun, not even considering the consequences of those actions.
- For example, he sadistically trips a boy on the stairs, which seriously hurt the boy.
- He illegally streaked across Jerome Horwitz Elementary School, believing himself to be in a dream. When the police officers came, he resisted arrest until he was finally arrested.
- After stupidly eating the Zygogogozizzle 24, he uses his new-found intellect to tricked a pair of doctors into getting confused, so he and the teachers could escape the goof house.
- He created Rid-O-Kid 2000, a mind-control potion that is applied and designed to brainwashed children into obedient slaves and decided to tested on Yesterday George and Yesterday Harold, turning the two into obedient students, and leading to them to let the present George and Harold to do half of their excessive homework, leading to them to get sicker because of this.
- He later used his brainwashing spray on all the children, including Melvin Sneedly, even if he didn't need it, during his P.E. classes and plans to sell his brainwashing device as a product for parents to use onto their children, to became the most powerful person on earth. And while his brainwashing only last for 24 hours, he plans to have the concoction be re-spray every day to make it completely affected, and soon plan to continue it on every child on Earth.
- What’s worse is that his brainwashing is shown to be terrible and likely dangerous to the minds of children, which is said in his ad (though Meaner later changes it to "angel" to keep his image), and also when the spray has a day's supply of Vitamin C, so applying it to a kid is equivalent to dosing a child with a narcotic that has never been tested for long-term effects.
- After George and Harold disguise themselves as an adult to manipulate the kids into drawing on the teachers’ faces with permanent makers, and filling cars with cottage cheese, Mr. Meaner decided to use his Stinky Kong 2000 and find the pranksters who has give the orders to the kids, terrorizing the town in the process.
- He attempted to kill George and Harold's future selves, when he thinks that they were the pranksters he was looking for, despite the fact they didn’t do anything against him.
- After becoming a blob of pure energy to escape from jail, he captures Old George and Old Harold and absorbs their memories to figure out how to defeat Captain Underpants.
- After Mr. Krupp survived the falling due to his powers, he scans Mr. Krupp’s body and absorbs his power to finally defeat him and become truly unstoppable. In doing so, he also extracts the effects of the Hypno Ring from Mr. Krupp, leaving him no longer to become Captain Underpants, thus making him the only villain in the entire franchise who succeeded in killing Captain Underpants.
- Despite being defeated by Tony, Orlando and Dawn when they flew in his laughing mouth with Mentos, Diet Coke, and Pop Rocks and making him explode, reverting him back to his usual stupid self, he faces no consequences for his crimes, thus turning him into an Karma Houdini.
What Prevents Him from Being Pure Evil?[]
- His brainwashing, albeit being shown to be terrible and likely dangerous to the minds of children, falls under Fridge Horror, since it's unknown if the children that were brainwashed with the Rid-o-Kid 2000 were actually harmed in any way.
Trivia[]
- Mr. Meaner was originally proposed for Near Pure Evil before, yet he was rejected for seemingly falling too much through Fridge Horror and being too comedic, resulting in him to go onto the Villainous Benchmark Wiki, where he would be banned after the criteria for VB changed to not include bog-standard villains. However, after further re-anylis, as well as the approval of the "Silly NPE" criteria, he would get proposed and approved for Near Pure Evil.
