Katz is one of the two main antagonists (alongside Le Quack) of the crossover film Straight Outta Nowhere: Scooby-Doo! meets Courage the Cowardly Dog.

What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Evil?[]
- While it's ambiguous if the movie is canon to the Courage the Cowardly Dog TV series, the series is undoubtedly canon to the movie, meaning that this version of Katz is responsible for all the same crimes of his canon counterpart.
- Alongside Le Quack, he discovers that the dark matter meteorite below Nowhere can be used to brainwash people, so the two plan to use it to brainwash Nowhere's citizens and take their money.
- He and Le Quack manipulate the events to be elected as the mayor of Nowhere.
- When they Mystery Gang gets involved, he and Le Quack send a swarm of mutated cicadas after them on multiple occasions.
- As the Cicada Queen, he and Le Quack put Courage and others in danger more than once, such as when they attempt to outright murder Courage near the end.
What Prevents Him from Being Pure Evil?[]
- He is more comedic than his counterpart from the show, falling for one of Shaggy and Scooby's usual tricks, as many comedic moments how destreast his villainy.
- His affable nature seems to be more genuine compared to the show since he willingly explains the plan he and Le Quack had. When at the end he is forced to dance by the meteorite alongside the other characters, which he admits he enjoys.
- He seems to have a genuine friendship with Le Quack, as they got along well during the film.

- He is the only Scooby-Doo Near Pure Evil to come from a crossover movie.
- His original counterpart is qualified as Pure Evil, due to being taken more seriously. In additon, his affable nature is not genuine.
