The Joker is the main antagonist of the DC Super Hero Girls two-part episode "#NightmareInGotham."
This version of the character is a teenager who, even given his young age, is still one of Gotham City's most dangerous supervillains. In his debut episode, he intended to throw what he called Gotham's "scariest Halloween" by causing chaos all over the city.
He was voiced by Jeremiah Watkins.
His Evil Ranking[]
What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Evil?[]
- That he is previously mentioned as Batman's nemesis before his debut episode implies he has a long history of crime.
- He manipulates Batgirl into releasing the Gentleman Ghost, Solomon Grundy, and She-Bat into the city on his behalf.
- He kidnaps Francine Langstrom and has her transform into She-Bat.
- Under his command, the Gentleman Ghost, Solomon Grundy, and She-Bat were sent out into Gotham City to wreak havoc as part of his plan to host the "scariest Halloween of all time." We are able to see the results of their actions on-screen with countless buildings on fire and several civilians running in panic. Though it isn't known if anyone died, it's obvious that the majority of Gotham's people were at the absolute least in danger of dying.
- With Harley, he assaults and ties up the mayor of Gotham so he can broadcast his messages.
- He immobilizes Wonder Woman to sadistically make her watch the final phase of his plan.
- Using a stolen "fractal obliterator," he planned to destroy the entirety of Gotham with an explosion so that nobody could host a scarier Halloween in the city after him. Though he never outright mentions death, we saw that there were people still in the city shortly before he said this, so killing all the people is strongly implied. Furthermore, that he wanted it to be Gotham's "last Halloween ever" shows that the destruction would have been permanent.
- He tries to make Harley detonate the bomb on his behalf before leaving. It's only stopped by Batgirl convincing Harley to not do it after he's gone.
- While other villains like Poison Ivy, Lex Luthor, Ra's Al Ghul, and Cythonna all attempt destruction on a larger scale than the Joker, he has less resources than any of them, yet came closer to attaining his goal than many of them.
What Prevents Him from Being Pure Evil?[]
- Though all of his crimes are taken seriously by the narrative, the show's more lighthearted tone means the Joker still has comedic moments, such as his "Batman" impression used to lure Barbara being unintelligible mumbling (with said impression working), and him naming his fractal obliterator doomsday device the "go-boom ball".
- It appears as though he is friendly with Harley Quinn, as he calls her his "#1 gal," gives her the honor of detonating the bomb, and shows no ill-will towards her. Though it's possible that he could be faking it, there is no indication in the show itself that his affection is fake.
