Billy Russoti, better known as Jigsaw or Billy the Beaut, is the main antagonist in the 2008 action thriller film Punisher: War Zone.

He was portrayed by Dominic West.

His Evil Ranking[]

What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Evil?[]

  • When Billy arrives to the mansion of Cesare, while he was looking for himself in the car's window, his mistress who came with him got close to him calmly and flirty, but he grabs from her neck and push her in the car angrily, telling her rudely that he fixed her makeup.
  • Although he is under the command of Gaitiano Cesare, Billy does not genuinely respect him since he makes fun of him when Nicky was talking before entering, Billy mockingly says that if anything he is going to have a heart attack, he was also about to hit him when he makes fun of his brother, though was understandable, also when he died, Billy showed to be happy and now he was the one who gonna control the mafia.
  • After recovering from being disfigured by glass-crushing machine, he off-screen murders the medic who attend him for his now disfigured face.
  • He didn't care about his henchmen's deaths, that is known when he talks with Ink and Pittsy about it.
  • When he with Ink and Pittsy go to the asylum where Jimmy was, he uses one of the doctors to make the asylum orderly who was in Jimmy's cell open it, and when he does, he kills the doctor by neck-snapping him in front of the orderly.
  • Just as they were untying Jimmy, Jigsaw orders Pittsy to open all the doors and get the patients out, this wasn't actually out of compassion for them but just for causing trouble.
  • When Jimmy begins to kill the orderly by ripping out his guts and he begins to scream in pain, Jigsaw can be seen laughing ghoulishly at the scene.
  • When he with his brother and henchmen enter to where the Bulats were, when he looked at the mirrors, he cries when he realizes that he is horrendous and not handsome as he was before. However, this scene is not played by sympathy since that was more of a selfish sadness.
  • He shows racist behavior towards the Bulat mafia when they speak Russian saying that they are not in Transylvania being vampires.
  • He murders one of the Bulat members by stabbing him in the throat with a broken glass.
  • When he along with Jimmy and his men arrive at the Donatelli's house to recover the money that Nicky supposedly stole, he scares Angela Donatelli and her daughter Grace and takes them hostage while they search for the money.
  • He allows his brother to destroy everything around the house scaring even more Grace.
  • He threatens to kill Grace to make Angela reveal where Nicky hides the money, when she tells him where she thinks it is, he mocks her by mentioning Nicky as a dead man.
  • When he discovers that the money is not in the safe, he angrily begins to destroy what is in his path in the room.
  • After Punisher killed Ink and Pittsy, and left with Grace and Angela, he and Jimmy attack Budiansky by shooting.
  • Although at first glance he seemed to get along with Pittsy and Ink, actually Jigsaw didn't care about them, as he wasn't angry or sad when the Punisher killed them.
  • Blackmails Agent Miller to leave him and Jimmy with immunity or else he will tell his boss how he didn't prevent what happened on the city.
  • He betrays the Bulats by using Miller with the police arresting them.
  • He kidnaps Micro and kills off-screen his mother who was physically disabled.
  • He recruits many street gangs and other mafias to create an army to kill the Punisher.
  • He makes Micro, Angela and Grace his hostages and plans to kill any of them with Jimmy if the police or Frank arrive.
  • Finally, when the Punisher arrives, he stops him and threatens to kill Grace and Angela if he doesn't drop the gun.
  • When the Punisher drops the gun, Jigsaw grabs it and starts shooting at him several times, although he is not critically injured by the shots thanks to the bulletproof vest, he tortures him using it anyway.
  • He makes the Punisher choose between killing Micro or Grace, and if he doesn't make a choice, he will kill them both.
  • When the Punisher shoots Jimmy, Jigsaw angrily shoots Micro in the head.
  • Right after killing Micro, he tries to do the same to Grace and Angela, but the Punisher gets in the way and prevents him from doing so.
  • He fights Punisher and tries to kill him, despite being outmatched but in one moment at the end he grabs a spear and tries to kill him with it, but Frank takes it away and stabs him in the hip with it killing him and falls on the bonfire burning.

What Prevents Him from Being Pure Evil?[]

  • He really loved his brother Jimmy. This was shown to be very fierce, since he got angry when Cesare insulted him saying that he should have taken him to the asylum too and Billy was about to attack him, he also hated when he was called Loony Bin Jim, also when he reunited with him at the asylum, Billy was very happy and kissed him in the forehead. Also, he killed one of the Bulats when insulted Jimmy and killed Micro in retaliation when Frank shot him.
