Hester Ulrich is a major antagonist of the Scream Queens, serving as one of two main antagonists of season 1, and a major antagonist of season 2.

What Makes Her Close to Being Pure Evil?[]
- Her and Boone added hydrochloric acid to Melanie Dorkus’s spray tan which almost killed her. This resulted in Melanie having permanent face damage and scars.
- Indirectly killing Agatha Bean by turning on the deep fryer when Chanel shoved her face in there when it was supposed to be switched off. This also made it look like Chanel killed her on purpose.
- Her, Gigi and Boone tried to kill Cathy Munsch and then cowardly ran away when she fought back.
- Lied that she was pregnant with Chas’s baby to try and steal him from Chanel.
- Killing her foster mother Gigi Caldwell, although she deserved it.
- Killing Pete Martinez when he tried to expose her to Grace.
- Trying to frame the pizza delivery guy Zak for the murders by knocking him out and putting him in the red devil costume. Then she blew him up with a bomb.
- She temporarily framed Chanel, Chanel 3 and Chanel 5 for the murders resulting in them being placed in an asylum.
- She is confirmed to have directly killed 3 people (Gigi, Pete and Zak).However it’s possible she could have killed more people as it was never fully confirmed who killed who in season one. It’s only implied that Boone killed 11 people.
- Some fans also speculate that Hester was responsible for Sam’s death.
- While she did help out for a bit in season 2, it was likely only to keep her out of prison rather than wanting to be helpful, and still didn’t tell them Wes Gardner was the killer.
- Tried to kill Chanel while wearing an Ivanka Trump costume.
- She forced a hospital patient to keep drinking blood even though it was making him sick and he was begging her to stop.
- She convinced Dr. Brock Holt that he was a murderer.
- At the end of the series, she stole all of Dean Munsch’s money that she earned at the cure institute.
- She’s a karma Houdini as she only spent a few months in jail, then escaped with Dr. Holt and living somewhere far away, therefore getting away with very little consequences.
- While she does have a lot of comedic moments, she is still taken very seriously in-universe.
What Prevents Her from Being Pure Evil?[]
- Even though her victims had nothing to do with her mothers death, she is still slightly tragic due to the fact that she had an awful childhood where she grew up in an asylum which messed her up in the head, and she was also raised to be a killer by Gigi Caldwell which is the reason why she is homicidal at all. Hester even admits to Cathy Munsch that she probably wouldn’t have turned out like this if she had just had a normal childhood.
- She can be honorable at times.
- She seemed to be wanting to kill someone when she was working at the hospital, but then she said to herself “No Hester, you promised, no killing!”
- In episode 7, she reassured Chanel that Dr. Brock Holt wasn’t one of the green meanies.
- When Chanel was worried that Dr. Holt was more attracted to Cathy than her, Hester gave her some advice on how to make a better connection with Holt, even though she had no pragmatic reason to do this.
- She helped out Cassidy, Ingrid and her Dad (the 3 green meanies) at the green meanie summit because they were arguing over who gets to kill who.
- While she doesn’t truly care about anyone and never shows any grief, she still shows some slight love for a few people.
- She somewhat did care for her brother Boone. She argued with Gigi when she told Hester that she needed to kill Boone, and it’s implied that she killed Pete and Gigi because they killed Boone.
- She cares about her half-sister Grace Gardener and made a deal with Pete to not kill Grace Gardner since she was her half sister. Hester even spared her and only knocked her out out of self defense and so that her identity couldn't be exposed.
- Even though she didn’t seem sad at all when her dad died, she did seem to genuinely admire him a bit and she never intended on him getting killed.
- She did genuinely love Chad and even said “Love you Chad” as well as looking a bit sad when Wes revealed he killed Chad.
- She genuinely fell in love with Dr. Brock Holt and moved away to blood island with him and she never showed any mistreatment towards him.
