Brian, more commonly known as Herobrine, is the main antagonist of the SeaWattGaming YouTube series Minecraft The Movie. Alongside Steve and Alex, he was one of the three creators of the world, but went down a dark path that led him to almost destroying his own creation.

What Makes Him Close To Being Pure Evil?[]
- Once he found the command block, he used it to trap dozens of villagers in small bedrock boxes, leaving them immobile.
- After Steve and Alex were rightfully horrified by his treatment of the villagers and tried to stop him, Herobrine contained them in a bedrock prison.
- After having his command block stolen by the Nitwit, he tried to kill him, and later, Steve and Alex before being defeated and imprisoned.
- After being released from prison by the Pillager, he formed a plan to obtain the command block, promising to use it to kill all players in the world as per the Pillager’s wishes, only for his real intentions to be to erase the entire world and create a new one to his liking.
- He kidnapped Steve and kept him imprisoned and weak on half a heart, then taking his place as a commander in the Blacksmith’s army.
- Disguised as Steve, he kidnapped the Witch (who was a pacifist that wanted to remain neutral in all conflicts), then imprisoned and tortured her for two weeks under the guise of wanting her to join the Blacksmith’s army. His actual goal was to make her hate players and join the Pillager’s army willingly.
- He and the Pillager kidnapped Alex after her return from the Nether, using her as a hostage to end the conflict in the Blacksmith’s village and force Steve to reveal where the command block is.
- After finding the command block in the end, he used to fight Steve, Alex, the Nitwit, and the Blacksmith, then later even the Pillager after he officially turns on him.
- While his first crimes of trapping villagers in bedrock boxes initially came from good intentions as he only wanted to ensure their safety, this later evolved into nothing more than a desire to fuel his own ego, with him fully subverting his well-intentioned extremism by attempting to erase the world.
- Despite once being close friends with Steve and Alex, it’s clear that he subverted his care for them after his first defeat, where he would have Steve imprisoned and tortured, use Alex as a hostage, and try to kill them both in the final battle.
What Prevents Him From Being Pure Evil?[]
- He has a tragic backstory as, initially Steve and Alex’s friend, he handled their group splitting up poorly and struggled to find his place in the world, all the while constantly feeling overshadowed by their achievements. This led to him developing a twisted hero complex in an attempt to live up to the expectations they set already. While he subverted his care for Steve and Alex after being defeated, his sadness at their friendship ending still holds up.
