I'm a soldier, and I'm here to fight.
~ Hassan to an incapacitated Rodolfo.
We are not attacking, we are invading...
~ Hassan's last words before trying to throw Soap out of the window before being killed by Ghost

Major Hassan Zyani is one of the two main antagonists (alongside General Shepherd) of the 2022 reboot of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II.

He is a Major in Iran's Quds Force and General Ghorbrani's right-hand man who launches a campaign against the United States in retaliation to the assassination of his commander. Zyani also works with the terrorist organization Al-Qatala and the Las Almas Cartel to achieve this.

He was voiced by Ibrahim Renno.

His Evil Ranking[]

What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Evil?[]

  • After Ghorbrani's assassination, he supplied many terrorist organizationss like Al-Qatala, the Las Almas Cartel, and Konni with money, weapons, and intel against their enemies.
  • After receiving 3 missiles thanks to Vladimir Makarov, he planned on launching it into the United States, which could result to millions of deaths.
  • When Alejandro Vargas and Rodolfo Parra find out he's trying to cross the boader, he has his men knock out Rodolfo and burn the whole building down to erase any evidence, and eventually leave Rodolfo to burn alive.
  • After the first two missiles were stopped by Task Force 141 and Shadow Company, he smuggled the last missile into Chicago, and planned on launching it from this very location.
  • Attacked and wounded Johnny "Soap" Mactavish after he canceled the missile's launch, and tried to throw him through the window of a skyscraper, and would've succeeded had Ghost not killed Hassan first.
  • Despite the Call of Duty's Heinous Standards being high, Hassan passes them since had he succeeded at launching his 3 missiles millions of innocent people would've died, and he would've also probably started a war against the US.

What Prevents Him from Being Pure Evil?[]

  • He is genuinely loyal towards General Ghorbrani, with his death being what motivates him in his villainy.
  • He fails the Heinous Standards to Makarov, who gave him the missiles in the first place and is also responsible for multiple other crimes like blowing up an airport, sending chemical missiles to attack a Kastovian military base, and trying to flood Verdansk.
