Gruntilda "Grunty" Winkybunion is the main antagonist of the Banjo-Kazooie video game franchise. She is a narcissistic and vile witch who appears in every game in the series as the main villain, and generally causes problems for Banjo and Kazooie. She has three sisters who are named Brentilda, Mingella and Blobbelda.
She was voiced by Chris Seavor.

What Makes Her Close to Being Pure Evil?[]
- Kidnapped Banjo's sister Tooty in attempt to steal her beauty.
- Enslaves Clanker, a mechanical whale, and uses him as a living trash compactor.
- She mistreats many inhabitants of her worlds, such as having her ship drop its anchor on Snorkel the dolphin.
- She treats her servant Dingpot badly and uses him as a trash can.
- Attempts to make Banjo and Kazooie never meet in Grunty's Revenge.
- Attempts to kill Banjo and Kazooie in their showdowns, and at the beginning of Banjo-Tooie.
- She destroys Banjo’s house and murders Bottles the mole in Banjo-Tooie, and attempted to do the same to Mumbo.
- She rips out all the pages of Cheato the spellbook and puts Loggo the toilet in Grunty Industries (where he’s mistreated by the workers) to punish both for helping Banjo and Kazooie.
- Killed the grey Jinjo family along with her sisters, scaring all the other Jinjo families away in the process. Though it's ambiguous as to whether their house was run over by accident or not, she later boasts about it in one of her quiz questions, showing she had no remorse for it.
- Also, given the rising number of Jinjos in each family, it's likely the Grey Jinjo family had 10 members at least.
- Uses her Big-O-Blaster to zombify King Jingaling for helping Banjo, nearly doing the same to Banjo and Kazooie in the process.
- Attempts to zombify the entirety of the Isle O Hags with her Big-O-Blaster so that she could restore herself to life.
- Her theme park, Witchyworld, has violent employees, dangerous rides, and serves unhealthy food to its customers. It’s heavily implied that tourists have actually died on its rides which caused it to be shut down, and Grunty intends to bribe the authorities so it can reopen.
- She is the owner of a factory that produces and exports toxic waste and produces massive amounts of pollution.
- Is horribly abusive to Klungo (though he did request that she beat him with her broomstick), and intended to feed him to a monster if he lost to Banjo and Kazooie three times.
- Kills two of her three sisters, Mingella and Blobbelda, for losing the Tower of Tragedy quiz without any signs of remorse. This is especially callous considering they're the ones who rescued her at the start.
- She tries using various chaotic methods to turn Spiral Mountain into Grunty Acres in Nuts & Bolts.
- While one may argue she has her own insecurities, they are simply out of egotism and envy rather than the need of love and acceptance for beauty.
What Prevents Her from Being Pure Evil?[]
- She is shown to have some honor in Banjo-Kazooie, when she allowed Tooty to go free once the titular duo beat her game show, and in Banjo-Tooie when she willingly weakens her attacks when they correctly answer her questions about the game.
- She has some standards as shown she is grossed out that Banjo didn’t wash his hands and she also hates cheating and warns the player not to cheat and will erase the data if player keeps using the cheat code.
