Gomez was the secondary antagonist of 2001 video game Gothic. He was a former convict who became the leader of the Ore Barons, the leader of the Old Camp and the most powerful man in the mining colony.

What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Evil?[]
- He lead a rebellion in colony with his minions and massacred with them all of King Rhobar II's men (except the fire mages) starting his totalitarian regime in the colony.
- After taking over the colony he blackmailed the king by saying that the convicts will only give ore if they can get anything they desire.
- Whoever disobeyed him or did something he found insulting was imprisoned, killed or taken to the wild to be eaten by the beasts.
- He gave power to real criminals (like Bullit, Bloodwyn and his minions) who were blackmailing, beating and killing the new convicts.
- He used three women in the camp completely as a tools, beating and raping them. One of them was forced to have sex with the baron in the evening and was later locked in the room.
- After the collapse of the Old Mine he orders to attack the Free Mine and locked himself in his castle, declaring war on both camps.
- He orders to assassinate all the fire mages who were in the castle just because they refused to attack the Free Mine.
- He falsely accused the nameless hero of conspiracies against the Old Camp and orders his followers to kill him if they see him.
- He imprisoned his own blacksmith Stone because he accused him of conspiracing with the fire mages.
- He never showed any signs of true sympathy towards the protagonist until his death by his hands.
What Prevents Him from Being Pure Evil?[]
- Gomez truly respected and appreciated his most loyal minions, especially Raven, who nevertheless considered him as a tool.
