Gol and Maia Acheron are the main antagonists of Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy.

His Evil Ranking[]

What Makes Them Close to Being Pure Evil?[]

  • According to official statements, Maia used her newly acquired dark eco magic to corrupt the environment and mutate the wildlife into dark eco creatures called Lurkers. This makes her and Gol responsible for the Lurker attacks across the land throughout the game. This includes the creation of a monstrous Lurker named Klaww, who bombarded Rock Village with flaming boulders.
  • Gol and Maia sought to open the dark eco silos and flood the world with dark eco, twisting and destroying everything so they could reshape the world to their liking.
  • They kidnapped their former friends, the sages of yellow, blue, and red eco, and imprisoned them in their citadel to empower their robot.
  • They kidnap Samos, the sage of green eco, and use him as the final power source needed to power their robot.
  • They try to kill Jak and Daxter when they try to stop them from opening a dark eco silo.
  • Maia in particular is portrayed as a sadist, noting that the red sage gave up with too little effort and that it was no fun at all, as well as taunting Daxter about how horrible the world will become.

What Prevents Them from Being Pure Evil?[]

  • Their moral agency is impaired, as their minds were warped by their overexposure to dark eco.
  • They show genuine care for each other, with Gol referring to Maia as "dear sister", and the two briefly holding hands.
