Gengar is the main antagonist of the cancelled Pokémon and Mario crossover fan comic Bad Things Will Happen. He was a Pokémon who belonged to a trainer who horribly abused him and eventually discarded him like trash. Gengar developed a massive loathing for all of humanity as a result and sought to wipe it out as revenge for his mistreatment.

What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Evil?[]
- He would be taking control of Mario by subjecting him to horrible painful Mind Rape that would shatter Mario’s mind erasing all of his memories as a result.
- Reformats Mario into a minion for him where he would subject Mario to end more manipulation. Mario would also be put through brutal training against Chandelure to get him stronger. Mario through this brainwashing would become more and more aggressive.
- Launches an invasion against the Mushroom Kingdom killing a large amount of people as a result.
- When Bowser tries to stop the invasion Gengar has his ghost Pokémon destroy his ships and kill off a large number of Bowser’s minions.
- Plans to ultimately wipe out all of humanity to get revenge for his mistreatment at the hands of his trainer.
What Prevents Him from Being Pure Evil?[]
- He has a pretty awful Freudian Excuse where he was horribly abused by his trainer and then discarded like trash. What Gengar does is horrible but there is nothing to subvert this excuse and it is even treated as the main explanation for why he hates humans so much.
