General Woundwort is the main antagonist of Watership Down miniseries. He is a super large rabbit, and is the cheif of Efrafa. He keeps his rabbits as slaves and treats them very horribly. He eventually comes to war with Watership Down.
He was voiced by Sir Ben Kingsley.

What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Evil?[]
- For a while, likely for years, he has kept many rabbits imprisoned at Efrafa as slaves. He also gave them strict rules, such as the prisoners were only allowed out at certain times of the day.
- He also created a rule at Efrafa that if any of the does ever tried to escape, all the does they left behind would be executed.
- He was going to keep Holly, BlackBerry and Bluebelle as slaves when they arrived there, before they managed to escape.
- He tried to pressure clover into becoming his mate and said if she didn’t become his mate then she would spend the rest of her days at Efrafa as a slave.
- This also meant that his crush on her wasn’t genuine and was merely a perverted obsession.
- He attempted to have Hyzenthlay executed at one point.
- He ordered captain Orchis to get Nettle to spy on Hyzenthlay, which ultimately lead to Hyzenthlay turning on Nettle.
- He threatened to have Sainfoin executed when he didn’t want to go after Watership down because he was afraid of Kehar.
- Him and all the Efrafan rabbits went after Watership down and attempted to kill everyone there.
- He is indirectly responsible for the death of Holly, since it was his Efrafan rabbits who killed him.
- He ordered Orchis to execute Campion when Campion betrayed him.
- He mockingly laughs at Hazel for being chief and calls him a lame rabbit.
What Prevents Him from Being Pure Evil?[]
- He is a slightly tragic character as his brothers were killed and eaten by a fox when he was younger. That same fox also ripped out one of his eyes, plus Woundwort also claims he was locked up in a hutch like Clover was for a while.
- There was a moment when he seemed to empathise with Clover a tiny bit since she was locked up in a hutch just like he was, this is also one of the reasons he took a liking to her.
