Fransisco Mendirez is the secondary antagonist of Ace Attorney: Conflict of Interest. He's responsible for the Gallante Killings along with the one who helped faked Carlo Luciano's death after the latter was caught wiping out the Cadaverinis. He serves as the defendant of the final case under his code name "Allen Yossarian" and was generally unhelpful and rude to Phoenix Wright despite the latter trying to help him.

What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Evil?[]
- Conspired with Carlo Luciano in wiping out most of the Cadaverinis, including their leader Bruto Cadaverini.
- It can be suggested that Fransisco Mendirez somewhat cared for Luciano because he saved his life, but Mendirez subverted that years later when he tried to get him killed anyways showing that he's out for himself first.
- Had Salim Kushari, an innocent man convicted for Luciano's "murder" resulting in an innocent bystander being incarcerated for a crime that never even happened.
- Used Pearl Fey's runaway scheme to pin a phantom child suspect on the assassination plot.
- Hired Sir Gallante to kill other members of the Rivales Family so he can climb the ranks faster.
- Had Sir Gallante kill his uncle Michael Rivales after he found out Luciano was alive.
- Attempted to usurp the throne after having his uncle killed only to fail as Luciano was giving out orders under his name in revenge for his attempted murder.
- Was rude to Phoenix Wright when he was trying to defend him for a double murder, being unhelpful and even eventually coldly "admitting" to Luciano's murder. He only felt fear and pleaded when Wright made a temporary decision to drop the case.
- In the alternate route, he snaps Luciano's neck before he's fatally shot by the latter.
What Prevents Him from Being Pure Evil?[]
- Was somewhat remorseful to Phoenix Wright after being rude to him throughout his defense despite him trying to help Mendirez, even making an effort to apologize before is cut off.
- Was honorable in sparing Carlo Luciano in the main route in order for Wright and those on the side of the law decide his fate after all Wright did to help him.
