What Makes Him Close To Being Pure Evil?[]
In General[]
- While he is made of Elemental of Light he has an clear moral agency after gaining one when some years passed since his creation. While he was corrupted by Ivaragé's Magicules it still doesn't effect his moral agency given others like Obera went through it and was fine meaning same can be applied to him.
- Unlike the majority of the Villains of the series, he is one of few Villains of the series to not be Grey Zone or have multiple severe preventions that make most of the work’s Villains unable to quality as an Near Pure Evil, lacking any selfless goal or any form of good intention.
- All of his comedic moments don’t detract him as an threat and still taken seriously in-universe and by the narrative mostly showing his sadism and insanity.
- While he did have multiple redeeming qualities and used to do heroism in protecting the Central World before the events of the series where he originally cared for his fellow Seven Angels of Origin, he looses nearly all of them.
- Despite the huge heinous standard of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime where genocide is common, Feldway stands out for having the largest attempted kill count of omnicide, and his mass impact on the story.
That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime[]
- Even before his fall he suggested to just kill Ivaragé and exterminate the Cryptids out of sheer xenophobia and disgust to Veldanava who wanted to see if they gain intelligence as he was disgusted by Zelanus' existence and only tolerated him out of pragmatic reasons.
- When Veldanava was killed and seemly not revived after many years, he conspired with Michael to revive him by destroying the Central World so if Veldanava still cared about his creations he would revive to stop Feldway.
- When he and Michael made their moves they ultimately used Castle Guard to protect themselves powered by Eastern Empire's faith in Rudra (who Michael possessed) making them nearly invincible and would’ve needed them to loose faith in Rudra or he all killed which nearly forced Rimuru Tempest to resort to the latter which would've involved innocents getting killed as an last resort if no other options would've worked.
- Had Michael brainwashed Velzard and Chloe Aubert to be their pawns where he had Velzard cause havoc and have Chloe try and kill Masayuki Rudra Nam Ul Nasca.
- He had Dino, Corno, Pico, and Garasha attempt to capture Ramiris who is sustaining the Dungeon protecting the Jura-Tempest Federation and removing her from it would make it return back to the outside world prone to attack while having them attempt to assassinate Masayuki that nearly succeeded if for not Velgrynd's intervention and Masayuki awakening True Hero.
- He would end up fighting Milim Nava which had her end up going into her stampede form and their clash nearly destroyed the Central World only prevented due to Velgrynd placing protective barriers around the world to shield it from the shock of their blows.
- He would ultimately end up releasing Ivaragé that caused Obera's men to be killed to do the Halloween Carvel which caused her to evolve and gain sentience who would make him responsible for her current actions.
- While he was defeated by Diablo he was only driven away, so he remains unpunished for his actions making him an Karma Houdini.
What Prevents Him From Being Pure Evil?[]
- He is somewhat tragic since while most of his tragedy don't hold up anymore, enough of it still holds up to some degree for his Freudian Excuse to be valid due to him being upset by Veldanava's death, and believing he saw his creator being disappointed in his creation when he notice Veldanava didn't revive since he care and is loyal to Veldanava.
- He genuinely cared and truly seen Michael as an close friend as he was upset by his death by Rimuru Tempest and sought to avenge him.
Trivia[]
- He alongside Cliché, Clayman and Mariabell Rosso are so far the only That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Near Pure Evils so far as almost everyone else who passes the standards are Inconsistently Heinous due to being either Grey-Zoned Anti-Villains, Redeemed or have too many redeeming qualities while most who don't fails the high heinous standards too much. He is also the only Light Novel Near Pure Evil Villain to not appear in it's Anime adaption yet.
- Ironically he is the opposite of Rimuru Tempest who is a Lawful Good Near Pure Good.
- Feldway alongside Anime Light Yagami, Abigail Lazar, Bayverse Megatron, Chloé Bourgeois, Unicron Trilogy Starscream, and Gabriel T. Rorke are the only Near Pure Evils who are Inconsistently Admirable.
- Since the Angels ravage the Central World every 300 years in the Great Temma War, if it is confirmed Feldway participated in any of them it would make him worse.
