His Evil Ranking[]
What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Evil?[]
- He normally is an alcoholic and abuses the animals, neglecting them of food and starving them.
- After realizing the animals were sentient and got overthrown by them, he rounded up other farmers to try and take back the farm.
- Tried to kill all the animals to take back the farm, killing a mother dog, thus unintentionally enabled Napoleon to take the orphan pups and corrupt them into violent guard dogs.
- When the farmers attempt to take back the farm again, Farmer Jones places TNT around the windmill, blowing it up in attempt to kill all the animals out of sheer spite.
- While his death does seem pitiful, due to him being abandoned by the other farmers, him drunkenly stumbling into the windmill, and choosing to die rather than escape, he brings it almost entirely upon himself due to his violent and drunken behavior.
- Overall, caused the entire events of the story by making Napoleon take over and chase the entire oppression.
What Prevents Him from Being Pure Evil?[]
- He ultimately fails the Heinous Standards to Napoleon himself, as stated by the animals and narration, the pig ended up worse than the farmer.
Trivia[]
- Farmer Jones is not Near Pure Evil in the 1999 live-action film, and not even truly evil, as that version is less violent and abrasive, in addition that his drinking is caused by all the stress he suffers due to being forced to borrow money from Mr. Pinkington to keep his farm afloat and that his wife is abusive with him, which leads him to cheat on her with Mrs. Pinkington. Ironically, many of his worse traits were reincarnated in Mr. Pilkington.
