He is voiced by Ryan Stewart.
His Evil Ranking[]
What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Evil?[]
In General[]
- While he claims to be a well-intentioned extremist by stating that his villainy is done solely for the sake of his company, it is constantly shown that he only does it for the sake of ensuring he earns more money and not for his company's consumers, proving he is not an extremist. No matter how many "problems" the protagonists cause for him, his actions surpass the excuse, because nothing indicates that he is poor or has a bad lifestyle outside of work, and he is actually shown to have a second job, being the manager of a McDonald's restaurant, so he easily could quit his job at Playtime Co. and find a new one if he wanted to, or find them all a home away from Playcare.
- Throughout the series, he makes multiple attempts to kill CatNap, the Smiling Critters, the Nightmare Critters and the monsters, (whom he knows are sapient) even though he was the reason for their existence, (and by extension, the "problems" they cause for him) essentially planning to commit cultural genocide against them.
- He is a Bad Boss with no care for his henchmen, as he consistently electrocutes and threatens them, and outright refuses to save one from being killed by Mommy Long Legs in "Mommy Long Legs is NOT a MONSTER".
- He also only grants CatNap a single minute of breaktime in "CATNAP GETS HIS FIRST JOB?" after his attempt to kill him with a guillotine fails, and while there's no indication he has done it to other employees of his in the past, nothing indicates he would have any problems with doing so.
- While he does offer some raises to his employees from time to time i.e. Harley Sawyer, he does so not out of goodness but to ensure they stay loyal to him, thus making his "generosity" pragmatic.
- While he does give the members of the Resource Extraction Mission an advantage over the protagonists, this was out of pragmatism as he wanted to ensure his victory over them.
- While he has lots of comedic moments, such as calling CatNap Jr. "cute" before being attacked by him, struggling to find a fake name to hide his identity from CatNap, electrocuting a henchman for laughing with him, and many more, the threat of his crimes is never played for laughs in-universe, with CatNap and several other characters always taking him seriously.
- Despite his defeats in "CHAPTER 3, But EVERYONE's a BABY?!" and "CATNAP GETS HIS FIRST JOB?", being comedic, (with the former having him attacked and electrocuted by CatNap Jr. and the latter having him locked in the same freezer that he had attempted to kill CatNap in and failing to reach the handle) they're not detracting as they are given as much gravity as any ordinary villain defeat.
- While he does save Player and Poppy from The Prototype at the end of "The PROTOTYPE ORIGIN STORY", he subverts this redeeming quality, as he consistently attempts to kill both of them in later episodes.
- His method of creating the monsters and Smiling Critters is shown to be extremely painful, (as shown with the experiments on the families of DogDay and Hoppy Hopscotch) and he never shows remorse for them.
- While he is shown to have a soft spot for animals in "DOGDAY: ABANDONED AT BIRTH", it is revealed that he had actually planned to use them for his own personal gain, preventing this from being redeeming.
Past[]
- He imprisoned the sapient CatNap after he was recalled, saying he would be nothing more than a bad memory before abandoning him.
- He spitefully mutated a musician that one of his henchmen had hired into Boxy Boo after he expressed inability to complete his request, before luring his father to the factory and doing the same thing to him.
- He made no effort to stop the Prototype from killing one of Playtime Co.'s employees and guffawed at it.
- He threw away various sapient Smiling Critters that he deemed as "useless", which caused the founding of the Forgotten Critters.
Present[]
Chapter 1[]
- He tried and tried again to stop Player in numerous ways.
Chapter 2[]
- He electrocuted and kidnapped Boxy Boo's mother before mutating her in the same way he did to her husband and son.
- He showed no remorse over Player, Kissy Missy, Mommy Long Legs, Huggy Wuggy and Boxy Boo switching bodies after falling into his trap, claiming that his goal was to simply "merge the toys of the specialist consciousness", before sadistically revealing that Player, Kissy and Mommy Long Legs would soon die of weakness, while Boxy Boo and Huggy Wuggy would grow stronger and leaving the former two to die.
- He drugged Mommy Long Legs with a love potion to cause her to fall for Player, hoping Daddy Long Legs would kill the boy out of jealousy.
- He hid a recording of Poppy Playtime's voice in the factory's basement to lure Player there, where he had a security guard activate lethal gas.
- He kidnapped Kissy Missy before challenging Player to go through a whole series of death traps with a bomb at the end in order to save her.
- He would later throw a party celebrating his "victory" before attempting to blow up the entire factory chapel to get rid of Player's "ghost".
- He altered the "Make a friend" machine to ensure its creations would grow up as adults, and took it to his advantage when Player accidentally activated it while being chased by Mommy Long Legs.
- He drugged Player with a love spell to incite Huggy Wuggy into killing him out of fear of losing Kissy Missy.
- He forced Player to choose between eating a microchip and becoming human again in exchange for leaving the factory permanently (not caring that he would be separating the boy from his friends) or remaining as a toy, before breaking the potion, (which was the only one in existence) rendering Player as a toy forever.
- While he didn't enforce this upon Poppy Playtime or Kissy Missy, this was likely pragmatic as he wanted to spite the boy further.
- He tortured Player before turning him evil.
- While he does advise Player to go back to sleep to avoid pain, it's not redeeming as he doesn't give him time to do so.
- He tortured Mommy Long Legs into giving him information regarding her son's whereabouts, before proclaiming that he would raise her son to be "the killer she failed to be", before forcing him to witness his mother's demise at his hands, only for Baby Long Legs to save his beloved Mommy from death.
- He threatened Mommy Long Legs with a gun after she had freed her babies from him, before turning her evil.
Chapter 3[]
- He kidnapped CatNap and attempted to eliminate his sleeping gas for his own convenience.
- He attempted to kill the Smiling Critters with an electric rod before throwing CatNap into an incinerator, before sadistically revealing his imprisonment to Player, Bubba, DogDay, and Hoppy.
- He forcibly made a baby version of CatNap, which he later attempted to exploit for his own personal gain.
- He kidnapped CatNap's kittens and forced his wife to disown him in exchange for getting her kittens back, before attacking her as well as Hoppy Hopscotch and DogDay instead of honoring his side of the bargain, only for Mrs. CatNap, DogDay, Hoppy and the kittens to fight back against him and Mrs. CatNap apologizing to her husband and successfully reconciling.
- He temporarily killed and cremated CatNap before setting Playcare on fire, endangering his wife and child, and causing Mrs. CatNap to be ostracized at her husband's funeral, despite her showing immense remorse over it.
- He attacked Mrs. CatNap after she had gotten off at the wrong train stop and defeated most of his henchmen.
- He wrote a note to force CatNap to move out of Playcare before attacking CraftyCorn, DogDay, and Bubba Bubbaphant, destroying parts of Playcare in the process, before kidnapping Bubba and throwing explosives everywhere, only failing due to DogDay's intervention.
- He rigged explosives all around Playcare along with a "Doomsday device", an explosive that would destroy all of Playcare, to force DogDay to choose between surrendering his puppies or dying in the explosion.
- He released a toxic fume that turned Bobby BearHug, DogDay, and Bubba Bubbaphant evil, leading to them killing CatNap.
- He gave fans of CatNap a tour around Playcare after breaking his promise to CatNap, just to spite him.
- While he does agree to cease production of his advertisement at the end, it's done out of cowardice.
- He attempted to kill Bubba Bubbaphant, Hoppy Hopscotch and KickinChicken while holding them aloft, only failing due to CatNap's intervention.
- He disguised himself as a man named Charles E. O'Charleston after opening a McDonald's restaurant to trick CatNap into getting hired, before attempting to kill him with a guillotine, a freezer, robbers, and a beef shredder, before getting locked in the freezer.
Chapter 4[]
- He is further more hateful and angered, as he tries to kill everyone by brainwashing the Prototype, showing that he no longer cares for his own company.
What Prevents Him From Being Pure Evil?[]
- He has one Pet The Dog moment where he grants Bubba extra time to choose between, he, Player, Hoppy, and DogDay becoming his prisoners or dying in "The SMILING CRITTERS are SO SAD".
- He also allows CatNap to deliver Player's order before dropping the guillotine and wishes Player good luck in finding the microchip.
Trivia[]
- He is so far the only Poppy Playtime NPE to come from fan works.
