Erythros is the overarching antagonist of the Scratch web-series NostalgiaSquare, He serves as the unseen main antagonist of the first six seasons and a major antagonist of Season 7, specifically as an unseen yet pivotal character in Across the Universe of Madness, a minor supporting character in At The End of The Line, and the main antagonist of The Erythros Arc. As of the the Post-Climax Episodes, he serves as the recurring overarching antagonist of Season 8, and a minor character in Season 9 onwards. He is an extremely homicidal, cruel, bloodthirsty, psychopathic and sadistic shadowy being who has been wanting to destroy Scratch Town for almost his entire life after a couple of people offended him. As of Slice of Life, after he was defeated by Fallen Star, he lived in the afterlife alongside Cuphead, with Erythros treating him with no respect in said world. However, he managed to escape the afterlife as of Don't Deal With Dave.
His voice is provided by an ambiguous TTS Male. However, when possessing Quadwheel, he is voiced by pingpong89.

What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Evil?[]
- Although he does start off being nice to the people of Scratch Town, including NostalgiaSquare himself, he then subverts this almost out of nowhere and starts abusing his power by stealing as many souls as possible to gain even more power than he already has, and shows no remorse for it. In fact, the reason he said he was like this was very petty and inexcusable since he said people were offensive about his race.
- He kidnapped, damaged, and took so many lives away from many of the civilians from Scratch Town to make them into shadowy clones of him, which includes (but isn't limited to) Classic Bully, Classic Bully 2, Sugar Bully, Starboy, Quadwheel and Green Square (although in the last one's case, it was only brief) and possibly even other characters like NostalgiaGirl, Cool Blue, Scratch Cat, Sidney, Evil NostalgiaSquare, Classical Bully, Chimney Girl and Red Circle. He does this in order to attack both NostalgiaSquare and Green Square. Besides, even before he showed his true colors to Scratch Town, he is heavily implied to be responsible for Starboy wrecking massive havoc in his shadowy form in Across the Universe of Madness.
- He was willing to capture Chimney Boy, Starboy, Quadwheel, and Squarey for literally no reason at all, and blew up the earth and destroyed Scratch Town, which killed almost everyone in Scratch Town (besides NostalgiaSquare and Fallen Star), which included Molly, who tried to help NostalgiaSquare destroy him, even though it was offscreen for some reason.
- He destroyed Quadwheel's kingdom and sucked him inside of his body, causing him to almost suffocate.
- He behaves like a hypocrite by saying he puts people in his "better" place, but he ends up torturing, brainwashing, and manipulating them into having his way. Besides, he even tricked Starboy into thinking he was Quadwheel by possessing him.
- Aside from Quadwheel, he also was willing to murder Starboy, Squarey, and Chimney Boy. While it isn't so bad for Starboy due to his anti-heroic and selfish behavior, it's much more outrageous for Squarey and Chimney Boy, considering both of them are kids, or in Squarey's case, a toddler.
- Almost remorselessly killed a depressed and unhappy NostalgiaSquare after Scratch Town got destroyed.
- After his temporary death, he has become verbally abusive towards Cuphead, and treats him with no respect, as he just yells and insults him.
- After he got revived by Death Row Dave, he went on to take people's souls for his and Death Row Dave's gain.
- During The Outlaw Arc, he made a deal with Blue Fallen Star, turning the latter into a shadow being and causing more chaos.
- While the NostalgiaSquare franchise is no stranger to having many comedic and funny themes, Erythros is a massive exception to this for the most part, being taken completely seriously 97% of the time, and is quite arguably one of the most heinous and serious characters in the whole franchise, being a massive threat to the people of Scratch Town and mankind and for absolutely and legitimately not having any qualms taking over Scratch Town and taking other people's lives for the sake of being petty and heartless. In fact, he is also one of the only villains in the franchise to have almost no comical moments whatsoever, which is saying something.
What Prevents Him from Being Pure Evil?[]
- Despite being taken completely seriously much of the time (especially when compared to most of the other villains in the series), he does have some rare comedic moments that detract from his villainy, such as screaming when being sucked into a black hole by Chryso, being used as a baseball for Chryso to hit, and yelling "I AM VERY MUCH IN DANGER!" during his defeat when Fallen Star goes supernova and explodes Scratch Town. And while they are very rare, it's enough to prevent him from being Pure Evil.
- He was initially nice and helpful to NostalgiaSquare and the other citizens of Scratch Town, as he helped them get out of the school before the police came to arrest Bernard and Billy before they were trapped in the school alongside Starboy.
- He also showed at least some respect to Bubblegum12345e and HealthyJacob1 when they were helping him get Chimney Boy, Quadwheel, Squarey and Starboy. However, this is a minor prevention considering they were possessed while they were helping him and aren't considered his friends by any means.
- He cares about his son Seth, as he was willing to help him with something, and protect him from other threats.

- He and Death Row Dave are the only characters in the NostalgiaSquare web-series to be Near Pure Evil.
- It is currently unknown whenever or not his TV show counterpart will be Near Pure Evil or not.
