| ~ Emperor Zanmoran to Fugitoid. |
Emperor Zanmoran is one of the three overarching antagonists (alongside the Shredder and Kraang Prime) of the Turtles in Space arc in the 2012 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series.
He is the ruler of the Triceraton Empire and long time political rival of Kraang Prime, whose both forces battled fiercely to gain control of Dimension X before Kraang Prime has the Heart of Darkness he retrieved from Professor Zayton Honeycutt to destroy his homeworld. This lead him to have an even bigger disdain on the Kraang and try to get rid of them by any means necessary. He is Captain Mozar's superior.
He was voiced by Michael Ironside.
His Evil Ranking[]
What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Evil?[]
- Rules the Triceraton Empire with an iron fist.
- Tried to take control of Dimension X from the Kraang, which lead to a full war. It's implied he would have won the war had it not been for them using the Blackhole Generator.
- Had his men force Honeycutt into building weapons for him and they attacked him when he refused. This lead to him being severely injured and his robot assistant placing his brain inside it to save him.
- Presumably wanted to take over Salamandria, leading to a war between the Salamandrians and the Triceratons.
- Heavily implied to allow most of the prisoners be executed, with only a few he chooses allowed to live since he can personally benefit from them or they are strong enough to provide entertainment for him, as he stops Mozar's execution of the Turtles because they were able to withstand the airlock opening slowly due to a ninjitsu trick Master Splinter taught them, which fascinated him.
- For the prisoners he selects to live, he has them fight each other, sometimes to the death, for his amusement.
- When Zeno went out against his plan of using the Heart of Darkness to destroy the Kraang's secret base, Zanmoran had him imprisoned and forced to fight people, even prisoners he befriended.
- He ordered Earth's destruction to eliminate the Kraang, despite everyone knowing innocent humans are also living in the planet the Kraang are using as test subjects for mutagen to subjugate them. This makes him indirectly responsible for most of the events of season four (specifically the space arc).
- It should be noted that this makes him a hypocrite as he was willing to destroy a planet filled with a race that has done nothing to him just to get rid of his enemies, despite getting mad at the Kraang for destroying his homeworld.
- Knowing the Turtles cannot survive against Zeno, he blackmails Honeycutt, who is now Fugitoid, on their survival to help him find the remaining pieces of the Blackhole Generator.
- Considering his high position, the majority of the crimes the Triceratons committed are his responsibility, even if he didn't order some of them himself.
- While there are many heinous villains in the series like Kraang Prime, Shredder, Lord Dregg, Overmind, Wyrm, and his minion, Mozar, have existed by the time he appears and are established to be truly heinous. Just like the case with Overmind and Wyrm, he only appears in one episode and forces his prisoners, which are implied to be immediately executed, to fight each other, even to the death, for his own sadism. This is uniquely vile for the show's heinous standard. Furthermore, he was the one who ordered Mozar to destroy the Earth, which makes him indirectly responsible for Earth's destruction as well, which also makes him uniquely vile as his minions wouldn't have done this otherwise.
- It's also worth noting that Earth's destruction wasn't easily reversed, as it took the heroes 14 episodes to undo this and Fugitoid had to sacrifice himself just to stop his plans. The destruction of Earth also makes him more personally vile to the heroes than other villains.
What Prevents Him from Being Pure Evil?[]
- He cares about his people, with no evidence showing that he oppresses them or just doesn't care for them at all, unlike Mozar.
- He wants to destroy the Earth because it is the Kraang's secret base and avenge his fallen planet who were wiped out by them, and promoted Mozar into an admiral for his success in finding the first piece of the Blackhole Generator/Heart of Darkness. He's willing to set Zeno free if he kills the Turtles, and was willing to keep that promise. However, this isn't a strong prevention, as he is willing to punish any Triceraton if they cross him, something Zeno called him out for.
