Elanuelo is the secondary antagonist of the Minecraft social experiment web series ish's State, serving as a minor character in Season 1, the tritagonist of Season 1.5, a supporting character in Season 1.7 and the main antagonist of Season 2. He is set to return in Season 2.7.
He is a player who took part in the first season of The State Experiment and would carry either heroic or neutral roles throughout the subsequent events before returning to take center stage as a major player in the second season of The State Experiment as the emperor of the Aculon Empire, the largest governing power of the Snow State.
While a generally neutral or even heroic character in his first three appearances, Elanuelo would evolve into a cruel tyrant paranoid of being usurped and obsessed with having complete control over his citizens. When his former baron AFreakinTurkey gradually becomes more popular than him, Elanuelo's paranoia and envy skyrockets and be begins plotting to have Turkey killed so he can remain the sole ruler of the Aculon Empire and eventually take over the world.
He was portrayed by the Minecraft player of the same name.

What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Evil?[]
In General[]
- While he initially was a neutral (and at times, outright heroic) character in the previous events with many redeeming qualities, such as caring for his allies and having good intentions, by the time of Season 2, he had subverted all of these qualities.
- Although the heinous standards of the series are so high and he only has a few direct kills to his name, Elanuelo manages to stand out with both one of the highest kill counts in the series (with over 248 deaths from the Battle of Aculon) and his personal villainy towards his former baron AFreakinTurkey, whom he killed purely out of paranoid jealousy for being more popular than him and purged his supporters for good measure, which resulted in the entire world uniting against him.
- He had absolutely no care for any of his allies or citizens, seeing them moreso as his property rather then individuals and while he treated those who were loyal to him with a modicum of respect, it was only because they were fiercely loyal to him and he had no issue with having many of his high-ranking officials killed for supporting Turkey. Additionally, he had no intention of any of his goals being for the betterment of his people, making him the complete opposite of a well-intentioned extremist as he only wanted complete control over the Snow State and later the rest of the world.
- In Season 1.7, he lead the El Bozo Mafia prison gang, indicating he had committed several organized crime-related offences that landed him in jail in the first place.
- Overall, he was an incredibly selfish and cruel tyrant motivated by paranoia, jealousy, ego and a pathological need for control over his people.
Season 2[]
- He was delusional and paranoid right from the start of Season 2, as he lived in an underground bunker out of fear that people would scheme behind his back, with this being his primary drive to enforce his authoritarian form of order across the Snow State.
- At the start of Season 2 of The State Experiment, he had all the leaders of the settlements on the Snow State meet with him and bribed them to merge their civilizations with the Aculon Empire by offering high-ranking roles in return.
- It's heavily implied he enslaved many of his citizens to construct the many buildings of the Aculon Empire.
- Had his highest-ranking subordinates force every player within the Aculon Empire into carrying out assigned tasks whenever they logged on to the server, giving them no rest and exhausting many of them.
- Because AFreakinTurkey was growing more popular than him for being charismatic, getting things done and generally being a well liked "man of the people", Elanuelo quickly grew jealous of him and paranoid that he would try to usurp his government, in spite of the fact that Elanuelo had never left his underground bunker and was allowing Turkey to act as the de-facto emperor of the Aculon Empire, making his paranoia and jealousy completely unfounded.
- After finding out a baron named 5pyder was caught betraying Aculon, he had the empire go into a lockdown so that 5pyder could be brought before the Aculon Castle and killed for his treasonous actions, to the accidental viewing of several high-ranking officials, including Turkey and Ender.
- It is implied that 5pyder was Turkey's friend and part of the reason he ultimately decided to help the defecting Aculon members form the Bastion of Peace to help refugees escape.
- He held a celebration to publicly crown himself emperor in front of his people and have his highest-ranking officials give him gifts. While this would appear harmless at face-value, it was most likely done to satisfy Elanuelo's need for control, ease his paranoia and likely to subtly intimidate/threaten his citizens into obeying him as the one, true ruler of Aculon, not Turkey.
- Following the coronation, he would begin implementing more tyrannical policies that gradually changed the Aculon Empire into a dictatorship under his rule:
- Knights of Aculon were allowed to harass and boss around their citizens, as well as forcing them to stop construction on their own projects so they could continue building the Aculon Castle.
- He sent spies across not only the Snow State to identify anyone speaking out against his policies, but across the rest of the world to keep tabs on what was going on and if anyone was planning to assassinate him purely out of paranoia.
- It was deemed illegal and forbidden for citizens of Aculon to defect and immigrate to other states, allowing Elanuelo to keep total control over his people.
- Overall, his tyrannical policies created a massive sense of discontent and uncomfortableness among the citizens of the Snow State, with many believing that if they were caught breaking any of Aculon's policies, Elanuelo would have them killed for their disobedience. As a result, Turkey and ItzzEnder would secretly evacuate many Aculon citizens through underground tunnels so they could migrate to other states on the grounds of fleeing a dictatorship, not wanting to return unless democracy was restored to the Snow State.
- After his spies caught Turkey aiding several escapees and hanging out with the Plains State leaders, Elanuelo's paranoia and jealousy reached its limit as he planned to have him killed the following day, falsely believing he was planning to overthrow him.
- He had his top officials create a trap by rigging the seat of his throne to pull out into revealing a hole leading to a pit of lava, intending on using this to kill Turkey.
- He allied with the authoritarian Emirate, Imamate and the Sea People, promising to help them re-establish order in their states.
- Had Elanuelo gone through with his plans, it's likely the Desert and Jungle States would have been turned into dictatorships similar to the Aculon Empire.
- He lured Turkey into a meeting with the rest of Aculon's top officials where he dropped his façade and viciously interrogated Turkey regarding his recent activities, falsely accusing him of wanting to take over the Aculon Empire before allowing TooDrew to activate the trap and let Elanuelo knock Turkey into the hole, dropping him into the lava pit and killing him.
- Although he apologized to Turkey before killing him, it was very apathetic and he had clearly lost any trust he had in him. Furthermore, he never followed up by showcasing any real remorse for the killing. Additionally, even though he labelled his actions of killing Turkey and purging his supporters as "regrettable" in his speech to his citizens, he also admitted that he was made aware of Turkey's plans being non-violent, giving him zero justification to have him killed other than sheer jealousy.
- He made a speech to his citizens after purging Turkey's supporters admitting to what he had done and using the events to try and indoctrinate his citizens by claiming that him being punished for his crimes and the Aculon Empire falling is what "the enemies" would want, and that they had to stick together no matter what.
- Immediately after Turkey's murder, Elanuelo ordered the mass killing of Turkey's supporters from his knights simply to further spite his memory and for them being associated with him, resulting in a purge in which few of Turkey's supporters survived.
- One of the supporters targeted was ItzzEnder, who was Aculon's crown prince, further cementing that Elanuelo never truly cared for his subjects and was willing to kill them if beneficial to his agenda, seeing them as purely disposable possessions.
- Worse still, Turkey and his supporters' murders were completely senseless, as Turkey never planned on overthrowing Elanuelo and only wanted to bring democracy to the Snow State, but Elanuelo flat-out refused to hear him out as his paranoia had already dictated his actions and he wanted to stay in power by any means necessary.
- It's also likely that had the Alliance of Democratic Nations not declared war on the Aculon Empire shortly after, Elanuelo might have ordered the killing of the Snow State refugees.
- The death of Turkey and the purge of his supporters was so heinous and senseless that it caused an international outrage, with players from all states mourning his death and wanting revenge on Elanuelo. The surviving supporters of Turkey were left greatly distressed and traumatized from watching him and their closest friends be killed.
- Immediately after Turkey's murder, Elanuelo ordered the mass killing of Turkey's supporters from his knights simply to further spite his memory and for them being associated with him, resulting in a purge in which few of Turkey's supporters survived.
- Upon getting word that the Allies were making plans, Elanuelo called the Sea People, the Imamate and the Smaragdus Emirate to the Snow State so they could take refuge in their defensive tower, the Iron Torch, meaning he knew full-well that they were most likely going to go to war with him.
- His murder of Turkey and his supporters make Elanuelo directly responsible for the Allies declaring war on the Aculon Empire and ensuing Battle of Aculon.
- He lead Aculon in the battle by having them either defend the Aculon Castle from the ground or by shooting at the Allies from above within the Iron Torch, as well as directly partaking in the battle himself by shooting at players from above. Numerous players opposing Aculon were killed by either the soldiers on the ground floor, falling stalactites, lava being dropped or by being shot down when trying to scale the Iron Torch.
- Right before being killed, he attempted to shoot down players from the Allies who were shooting back at him from a tower created opposite to the Iron Torch.
- His death was not played for any sympathy, with it being actively celebrated by many players the moment it happened and it being played for satisfaction considering all the horrible things he had done.
- In fact, to highlight how unsympathetic he was in the end, when the reformed Aculon Republic tore down the Iron Torch and replaced it with a graveyard, there was no sign of a grave made for Elanuelo, highlighting just how hated he was.
- His death was not played for any sympathy, with it being actively celebrated by many players the moment it happened and it being played for satisfaction considering all the horrible things he had done.
- The ramifications of the Battle of Aculon caused by his actions also lead the the deaths of many Aculon members who surrendered after he died but were otherwise killed by the Allies, with any Aculon members who weren't killed escaping the battle and going into temporary hiding.
- Although this purge carried out by the Allies, they were able to see the errors in their actions and repented by creating a new world alliance and pardoning the surviving Aculon-aligned players, whereas Elanuelo never showed any remorse for his actions and believed he was in the right all the way until his death.
- Overall, Elanuelo was ultimately responsible for the deaths of over 248 players that partook in the Battle of Aculon, both from Aculon itself and nations that formed the Allies
- His crimes were so horrific that the Iron Torch was torn down and replaced by a graveyard by Ender and the remaining Snow State members who then reformed the Aculon Empire into the Aculon Republic, wanting to distance the Snow Island from its previous tyrannical rule lead by Elanuelo.
What Prevents Him from Being Pure Evil?[]
- He held genuine respect for both ST0RMINGHELL and the Sea People for sharing his similarly brutal leadership tactics and prioritizing absolute order over their nations, having put the Snow State on a lockdown after STORMINGHELL's assassination to pay his respects and sending his diplomats to ally with the Imamate left after his death and the Sea People, as well as offering the Smaragdus Emirate the chance to join Aculon in the final battle.
