Egor Korshunov is the main antagonist of the 1997 political thriller action film Air Force One.
He is a radical ruthless Russian terrorist dedicated on following the old ways of Russia by means of serving his general Ivan on a mass murderous conquest to obtain their rule on the nations by any means necessary, when his general was taken to prison, he alongside his allies hijack the President of the United States plane so that they can kidnap the president to release their leader and other dangerous motives.
He was portrayed by Gary Oldman, who also voiced Ruber in Quest for Camelot and Lord Shen in Kung Fu Panda 2.

What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Evil?[]
- Was a major player on aiding the infamous General Ivan Radek's ruthless acts who even the prime minister of Russia hates and helped him murder over 200,000 lives.
- He hijacked Air Force One so he can kidnap President Marshal in freeing his general.
- He got the president's body guards to be gunned down.
- When the pilots doing do what he demanded them to do, he murdered them to take control of the plane and take its destination to Kazakhstan where he will make sure the president is in a territory where the USA soldiers won't be able to rescue from.
- As he talked to Vice-President Kathryn Bennett on the demand of Radek's release, he informs her that by every half an hour he will kill a civilian in the plane.
- The First Lady was Egor's first attempt to murder within the time limit, until the national security advisor Jack Doherty stepped up to try and make a deal on the matter with him, with Egor not being impressed and killing him instead.
- Egor then brings Melanie Mitchell's life on the line as a means to bring who he thought was the secret service agent out of hiding, when he doesn't get his way, he proceeds to kill her.
- When the man who Egor thought was the secret service agent was finally caught, the man turns out to be the president who Egor tortures by beating him up.
- He then places a gun on the President's daughter's so that he can free his dangerous leader.
- When he said he would let the President and his family go, he states that he lied intending the use the most powerful man in the world for more dangerous means.
- He gets The First Lady's life in danger again and tries to strangle the president.
- Even after death, the destination he took Air Force One in was in Kazakhstan where the jets tried to kill everyone on board including the President.
What Prevents Him from Being Pure Evil?[]
- Though he admits on what he is committing is wrong, he holds firm on what he believes in for the country he loves, regardless of how ruthless the lengths he knows he is going with on doing.
- He shows affable care for his comrades, as when one of them were killed during the planes hijack, he expressed how that soldier meant to him back in the day in a bit of a descriptive detail and swore to avenge him.
Trivia[]
- Egor Korshunov is considered to be the Hans Gruber of Near Pure Evils, especially given Air Force One is a Die Hard scenario film.
- Despite not being as evil as Agent Gibbs, Egor is overall worse than him as Gibbs was just about getting more money while Egor's intent was to use President Marshal's head of republic powers under General Radek's tyranny.
