Joke!? Joke?! Eddie never jokes, Eddie needs to be taken seriously. They laughed at him once, but you can't laugh without a tongue. You can't point if you haven't got fingers, can you? That's what daddy told me, late at night. In my room.
~ Eddie Low to Niko Bellic during their first encounter.

Edward "Eddie" Low is a minor antagonist that can be encountered in Grand Theft Auto IV.

He is a perverted and insane serial killer operating in Liberty City. The player encounters him on two occasions as Niko Bellic, who assists him, but later kills him when Eddie turns on him.

He was voiced by Victor Verhaeghe.

His Evil Ranking[]

What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Evil?[]

  • He murdered and castrated his father when he was a child.
  • He beheaded his younger brother and put his corpse in a kitchen oven, then hid his corpse in the pond.
  • He constantly groped his schoolmates in their private parts during his childhood.
  • He beheaded a boy who saw him dig a well where he was going to bury himself alive, just because the boy urinated in said well, and then he put his body in the well so that the police would not discover the murder.
  • He suffocated his mother in a pile of sand, accidentally causing her death.
  • He raped and murdered his grandparents even though they had adopted him.
  • He became a serial killer, killing many joggers just because he despised the sport.
  • He horribly murdered two children to spite their parents, raping the first one before strangling them to death, while the second had her guts ripped out just to see if he felt anything.
  • He murdered several people he was in a relationship with, possibly even having sex with their corpses.
  • It is implied that he also murdered and raped animals.
  • He threw the chopped up bodies of the people he had killed in a river so as not to arouse suspicion of their murders.
  • He murdered another jogger before meeting Niko a second time.
  • He tried to kill Niko after he tried to reassure him, subverting any friendship he may have seemingly wanted with him.
  • Although it could be said that he has a tragic past, since his father was quite abusive towards him to the point of dressing him as a woman and suffering bullying from his peers, ultimately, he doesn't seem to be affected by it anymore, as he only became a serial killer that murdered joggers simply because he hates the sport itself, along with only being motivated by pettiness and his own psychotic views on the world.
  • Despite the series' high Heinous Standards, Low still stands out given his limited amount of resources, as well as how horrible many of his actions are.
    • In fact, he is the only character from the HD Universe of Grand Theft Auto to ever harm children, as children almost never appear in any of the GTA games.
  • His crimes are so disturbing that they horrified even Niko, a known war veteran who both witnessed and committed numerous atrocities at the time.
  • While his kills are off-screen, they are talked about on the news in the game and he even shows a bag full of people he kills inside which he then throws into the sea, so his actions have enough impact.

What Prevents Him from Being Pure Evil?[]

  • He has highly questionable moral agency issues because of how crazy he is. In his childhood, he has been to multiple mental institutions and is delusional to the point where he regularly hallucinates about his childhood abusers, while often thinking about things such as wondering if animals masturbate or wanting to marry his mother. While he does go out of his way to cover up his crimes, he seems to be incapable of completely understanding his actions are wrong, claiming he is doing the world a favor by "getting rid of the trash".
  • He seemed to love his mother (even wanting to marry her) and, although he killed her, he admits that this was an accident, indicating some remorse for having done so. In the present, he still keeps all of her clothes as a possible memento.
