Hey, you there,

I think you better get it over with before,
I end your family.
I have them locked up in a tower,
en el piso más alto. (on the highest floor)

~ Duolingo threatens the user.

Duo Keyshauna Renee Lingo, also simply known as just Duo, is the main antagonist of the song of the same name created by CG5, also known as Push. He is an obsessed green owl, who angry that the viewer didn't finish their Spanish lessons, takes drastic measures to force them to do by kidnapping and threatening to murder their family.

He is voiced by CG5, who created the song.

His Evil Ranking[]

What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Evil?[]

In General[]

  • He expresses clear sadism in seeing how much fear he has instilled in the viewer.
  • While it could be argued that he is an extremist due to wanting the viewer to take their Spanish lessons, it isn't specified in the song that he is doing this out of any well-intentioned or noble goal and instead he comes off as extremely petty, kidnapping the viewers family over something as simple as a Spanish lesson.
  • Despite being a parody of the Duolingo owl, he is still taken seriously in-universe as he plans on kidnapping and killing the viewer's family without any remorse whatsoever.

Push[]

  • Becoming obsessed with having the viewer complete their Spanish lessons, he begins to make vague threats towards them and warn them of how much they are underestimating his power.
  • He kidnaps the viewer's family and has them locked up in a tower on the highest floor.
    • While this remains unconfirmed, the fact that he says “family” instead of “parents” suggests he has kidnapped at least three people.
  • According to the lyrics, he is fully willing to murder the viewer's entire family if they don't finish their Spanish lessons.
    • He also says that everything the viewer loves is on the line, implying he may not hesitate to kill everyone else they care about as well.
  • While he does congratulate the viewer for completing their Spanish lessons, it is unknown if he actually respects the viewer, as it is not confirmed whether or not he released the viewer's family after they finished the lessons.
    • Even if he did release them, it can be argued that this would be a pragmatic move to have a lever to use in case the viewer starts other lessons and doesn’t finish them.

What Makes Prevents Him from Being Pure Evil?[]

  • His plan on kidnapping the viewer's family relies on Fridge Horror since it is not specified how large the family is. However, since his plan is given very serious weight by the narrative and he is most likely planning to kidnap three or more people, this is a minor prevention.

Trivia[]

  • He is currently the only version of Duolingo to be Near Pure Evil.
