FOOLS!!! My genius cannot simply be contained!
I will not stop until the world grovels before me and my robots!
~ Dr. Wily after escaping prison
You and all your friends will become mindless killing machines!
~ Dr. Wily after infecting the player character with the roboenza virus

Albert W. Wily, better known as Dr. Wily is the main antagonist of Megaman 8-Bit Deathmatch, serving as the main antagonist of chapters 1-7 and chapters 10-12, the overarching antagonist of chapters 8 and 9 and a supporting character in chapter 13.

His Evil Ranking[]

What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Evil?[]

  • He kidnapped, impersonated and incriminated Mr. X.
  • He kidnapped and reprogrammed Gutsman to restrain Megaman and hold him hostage so the other robot masters would allow themselves to be reprogrammed.
  • He forced Mega Man to watch as his friends were reprogrammed.
  • He permanently killed Copybot for slightly getting in his way and replaced him with Bass.
  • He attempted to blow up wily castle to kill the player while Bass was still inside.
  • After escaping jail, he has his robot masters attack different places around the world.
  • He fixes Trio, an obviously murderous alien robot so he could harvest his Evil energy and feels no remorse when Trio kills 8 of his robot masters.
  • Because of his actions, the government decided to enforce a law that would give every robot an expiration date, after which they would be destroyed. Wily felt no remorse for the genocide that was about to occur and in fact decided to capitalize on it by creating a robot named King, attempting to trigger a robot uprising with himself as an ally the robots.
  • When King redeems himself, Wily attempts to have king killed and replaced by the genesis unit.
  • He created the roboenza virus using the evil energy from Trio.
  • He caused Dr. Light's robot masters to go on violent rampages as soon as the expiration date law was enacted to frame Dr. Light.
  • He had a ship fly over the city releasing the roboenza virus, causing hundreds of innocent robots to go on murderous rampages including Protoman.
  • He tricks the player character into going into the infected city to destroy the ship releasing the virus so that he would get infected as well.
  • Just like Wily wanted, the player does get infected, and attacks Roll and other robot masters in Light's lab who tried to stop them from attacking Dr. Light.
  • After being confronted about his atrocities and being told that making robots become violent murderers could destroy the world for both humans and robots. Wily explains that he's okay with the world being destroyed as long as he can rule over whatever is left.
  • While he did save the world in chapter 13 by creating Gamma Mk II to defeat Eclipse (Trio). But this was pretty much only for the selfish reasons of "I want to live too" and "I need something left for me to rule over".

What Prevents Him from Being Pure Evil?[]

  • He fails the Heinous Standards to Terra and the stardroids who are omnicidal maniacs. Resources don't help since he has an army with dozens of Robot Masters, multiple fortresses, and two space stations.
  • He isn't always taken 100% seriously. Good example is when he was anticlimactically defeated in one hit in chapter 10.
