Dr. Roy Curien is the secondary antagonist of The House of the Dead game series. Once a renowned scientist, he was driven mad by his own research and unleashed a horde of zombies upon his staff and threatened the world with destruction. Curien later returned in The House of the Dead III, which explores his past motives involving his relationship with his son Daniel through a series of flashbacks. He was "resurrected" as the game's final boss, the Wheel of Fate.
His Evil Ranking[]
What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Evil?[]
- Unleashed a horde of zombies upon his own staff members as he watched them get massacred without a second thought.
- After encountering the AMS Agents, despite complimenting them, he responds by sending one of his experiments, Hermit, to kill the two agents.
- He made the Magician, who would have destroyed all the humans if Thomas and G hadn't destroyed it, despite the Magician killing Curien.
- When he was resurrected as the Wheel of Fate in The House of The Dead 3, he made it his goal to destroy and resurrect everything, with the intention of rebuilding it without the conflict associated with humans, meaning that he could've killed billions if he succeeded, including his own son.
- Before his death in the third game, he tried to have his son, Daniel Curien join him, but fails by getting shot by both him and Lisa Rogan.
- He shows no remorse for all of the crimes he's committed against mankind.
- Although Goldman and Thornheart did worse than Curien, he is still able to stand out due to being the one who invented the BioReactor to produce countless undead zombies.
What Prevents Him from Being Pure Evil?[]
- He genuinely cared for his son Daniel, as the reason he became what he was because he wanted to find a cure for him and was willing to cross the barrier of Life and Death to cure him, making him a bit sympathetic and protective before the events of the third game.
Trivia[]
- So far, he is the only The House of the Dead character to be Near Pure Evil.
