Dr. Ivo "Eggman" Robotnik, later known as Golden Sonic, is the main antagonist of the Five Nights at Sonic series. He is Sonic's arch-nemesis.
Once a prestigious mad scientist and arch-nemesis of Sonic the Hedgehog in life, he became mad with revenge after Origin Sonic, a defunct clone at Sonic's Fast Food Diner, bit off his frontal lobe. He proceeded to tamper with the cloning machine at the restaurant, making the clones aggressive, before deciding to kill them one by one years later to tie up loose ends. He was later killed by one of the clones, Salvage Sonic, and ironically enough, possessed Origin Sonic.
His Evil Ranking[]
What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Evil?[]
- Although losing his frontal lobe in The Bite of '91 was unfortunate, his methods of vengeance are too extreme for it to count as a tragedy, and he was already a villain beforehand (due to the events of the original Sonic game being canon in this universe).
- In an act of fury over The Bite of '91, he tampers with the cloning machine at Sonic's Hero Pizza Palace, leading to the clones getting aggressive at night and shutting down the restaurant.
- Years later, he had vandalized the Toy animatronics for no reason. He did this in quite a brutal fashion too, ripping out Toy Sonic's jaw and slashing off the lower body of Toy Yoshi.
- He went to the storage room where the clones had resided and killed Mario, Tails, and Yoshi.
- To add on, he had locked Sonic in the backrooms, leading to him getting brutally mauled by Toy Sonic and becoming Salvage Sonic.
- He attempted to order Salvage Sonic to attack the spirits of his friends before being stabbed and killed.
- A year after his murders and after possessing Golden Sonic, he came across Salvage Sonic and manipulated him into serving him, before killing him out of spite in the same fashion he first killed him.
- He had brought the clones back to life as the Nightmares to serve him.
- Tried to kill Luigi as Nightmare Golden Sonic.
- After gaining time-traveling abilities (due to the Phantom Ruby), he had brought his past self to kill his human self, which would've caused a time paradox and cracked the timeline.
- After his attempts at his past self failed, he brought the toy animatronics back to life to serve him in his quest to take over the world.
- While the Five Nights at Sonic series is pretty humorous, he is taken 100% seriously as a threat, and any comedic moments he might have are merely sadistic humor or laughably evilness.
What Prevents Him from Being Pure Evil?[]
- While heinous, his attempts at causing a time paradox is Fridge Horror, as it doesn't fully explain what might have happened if he succeeded. It's implied to be something terrible though, so it's a minor prevention.
Trivia[]
- To date, Dr. Golden is the only Five Nights at Sonic's character to be Near Pure Evil.
- It's possible that he tampered with the toy animatronics to make them more aggressive. If this is proven true, it would make him even worse.
