~ Demongo presenting himself to Samurai Jack. |
Demongo is a minor antagonist in Samurai Jack, serving as the main antagonist of the episode "Jack versus Demongo, The Soul Collector" and a minor antagonist in "Episode XCVII".
He is a demonic servant of Aku, the overlord of the Earth, often assisting his master in trapping the souls and essences of all those he targets. Eventually, Demongo is tasked with tracking down and defeat Samurai Jack, none other than Aku's arch-nemesis.
He was voiced by Kevin Michael Richardson, who also voiced Tartarus in Halo 2 and Jabba the Hutt in the Star Wars: The Clone Wars film and series.
His Evil Ranking[]
What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Evil?[]
- He killed thousands of warriors and stole their souls before enslaving the essence of the warriors he's killed, though it is shown that the process was reversible.
- He constantly mistreated the warriors and showed no care for them if they get hurt.
- He almost had one of his giant warriors crush Jack to death.
- While he may not be as heinous as Aku, he still stands out due to having less resources.
- Although he is a demon, nothing implies he has moral agency issues, in addition to having control over his own habits, ruling out the idea of him being made of evil.
What Prevents Him from Being Pure Evil?[]
- His defeat in his debut episode was played for laughs, as it has all the warriors he enslaved be freed while being okay, before they lay a comedic smackdown on him.
- In addition, this also makes him suffer from Fridge Horror considering the comedic tone of his defeat reduces the weight of him stealing the souls of the warriors, given that they are mostly fine after his actions are reverted.
