Dazu Tayak is a minor antagonist in the 2017 shonen anime Black Clover. She serves as the main antagonist in the aftermath of the Elf Reincarnation arc within the second saga.
She is a vengeful commoner who was looked down upon by her peers and attempts to extract revenge by gaining powers from a Devil nonetheless. She is the main leader of the twisted cult group, the Devil Believers, also formerly Devil Banishers, just to use Kabwe and his companions as pawns.
She is voiced by Himika Akaneya in the Japanese dub and Steph Garrett in the English dub.

What Makes Her Close to Being Pure Evil?[]
- While she does have a tragic past of being used and tormented by her peers for having little mana, with the same happening to her husband and mother-in-law, it's no excuse for her behavior, because everyone else who followed her cult also experienced the same treatment for being commoners and having not much mana in them but didn't do the same things she did. In addition, Asta pointed out he would never thought about using his Anti-Magic for revenge against the Clover Kingdom without a second thought. It also falls short when she tries to make it look worth feeling sorry about, but it gets repeated over and over, in the end she becomes twisted whilst everyone else did not, even those who are part of the Devil Believers.
- She killed her husband and mother-in-law during the attack of the reincarnated elves, even though they deserved it after her husband confirmed he used her.
- She and Bow then formed the Devil Believers to spread out their cultism.
- She then manipulated Kabwe, Siona, and Onophy into working for her and Bow, using their reasons of revenge against Asta into becoming their pawns.
- Kidnapped both Marie Adlai and Secre Swallowtail and allowing Kabwe to publicly execute them whilst allowing their propaganda against Asta to spread, causing more damage to his reputation. But also provoking him into handing over his grimoire before the attempt failed with the Magic Knights intervening.
- Succeeded with gaining Asta's grimoire and planned to use it, alongside Secre, as offerings to pursuit having Devil powers just for the sake of extracting her revenge.
- Implied to have ordered two of her fellow members to sacrifice themselves after the plan was done, it happened when the two killed themselves once Vanessa prepared to fight them.
- Killed Kabwe, Siona, and Onophy by poisoning the water.
- She and her group spread their cultism to fellow commoners and villagers alike, convincing them to believe Devil abilities are the key to making their lives better. Though it out was of spite and was only motivated for selfish reasons to ensure everyone else who shared the same treatment as she did to corrupt them into getting revenge. What gotten worse from it was that children were involved too, especially those with critical conditions and injuries.
- Captured both Asta and Noelle when they attempted to convince them to stop what they're doing, but only to restrained them as offerings for the Spade Kingdom.
- Endangered all her followers when her Catalyst Magic lured in one of the monsters within the Breed Mountain, while unintentional, she almost could've killed potentially hundreds of them given the total number of the cult, but didn't care either way.
- She rejected every chance she had to change her ways, instead refuses in the end.
What Prevents Her from Being Pure Evil?[]
- She massively fails the in-story Heinous Standards due to Zagred, whose Pure Evil and was indirectly responsible for all the events that occurred within the series, especially for the Elf's extinction and reincarnation, directly and indirectly by manipulating Patolli under his palms. Even Dante Zogratis and his siblings took over the Spade Kingdom and caused massive tyranny against their people, especially killing hundreds in share, even though most of their actions were overshadowed by Lucifero and his companions. Despite having less resources and has corrupted almost every commoner, as well as she is willing to attack innocent people and harm children without any qualms or second thoughts, it doesn't help her stand out in comparison.
- She at least cares for her companions in the Devil Believers, as well as having romantic feelings for Bow Nocde.
- Despite she twistedly made Asta's reputation worse and worshipped him for his Devil-Possessed abilities. She still acknowledged him for his ideals and she still wished she could've think like him, though the affable would've last long.
