Dark Enerjak is the main antagonist of the Silver Saga storyline in Sonic The Hedgehog Archie Comics. This alternate version of Knuckles went mad with power and took over the world and planned on taking over new ones.

What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Evil?[]
- Assuming the title of Enerjak, he sought to conquer the world, falsely believing he was bringing peace to it.
- He wiped out a third of G.U.N military fleet, sending them to the bottom of the ocean.
- He destroyed the city of Station Square as retribution for the attack.
- He sunk the entire continent of Downunda into the ocean, killing millions.
- He stole the souls of many of his former allies including Sonic, Sally Acorn, and even his own wife, leaving them as empty husks. He then used their cores to power his Prelates, robots with their appearance, to enforce his will.
- After conquering the world, he had his Prelates fight the remaining Freedom Fighters for his own amusement.
- He sent Prelates to other realities to find new worlds to conquer.
- When fighting the freedom fighters, he deliberately sent the Prelate of Jani-Ca’s mother to attack her to enrage his daughter further.
- He stole the cores of all the remaining freedom fighters and attempted to do the same to Silver and Jani-Ca.
- Despite the high standards of Archie Sonic Dark Enerjak stands out due to successfully killing many major characters, including Sonic himself, and the unique crime of stealing the souls of his victims and using them to power his Prelates, plus the devastation he brought to his own world plus his plans to conquer not just other worlds but other realities is more then enough to stand out.
What Prevents Him from Being Pure Evil?[]
- He is somewhat tragic as he originally was trying to bring peace to world and only went as crazy as he did once his friends and his wife left him and then his close friend Remington tried to kill him which caused him to abandon his humanity.
- He has some moral agency issues due to the corrupting influence of Enerjaks power driving him insane however this is a minor prevention given he is aware of his actions and is sadstic about it plus even after being freed he still wanted his powers back.

- He is the only version of Knuckles to be Near Pure Evil, as well as the only Sonic Near Pure Evil to originate from the Dark Mobius timeline.
