Oliver Queen, also known as Dark Arrow, is one of the two main antagonists (alongside Eobard Thawne) of the 2017 Arrowverse crossover "Crisis on Earth-X" and the overarching antagonist of the animated web series Freedom Fighters: The Ray.
He is the Nazi version of Earth-1's Green Arrow, the final Führer of the New Reich, the husband of Overgirl and leader of the New Reichsmen. The Dark Arrow hails from Earth-X and arrives on Earth-1 as part of an invasion force. Despite their plans of conquering Earth-1, his main motivation is to capture Supergirl in order to steal her heart and implant it into his dying wife.
Like his Earth-1 counterpart, he was portrayed by Stephen Amell.
His Evil Ranking[]
What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Evil?[]
- He is already a Nazi, so that automatically gives him a level of heinousness.
- He is the dictator of Earth-X following Nazi idealism, therefore placing several Jews, gays and rebels into concentration camps and/or just kills them for his own satisfaction.
- One of his Sturmbannführers mentions at one point that he enjoys executing "law-breakers" personally for breaking the rules of any of his concentration camps. Furthermore, given how his universe's Quentin Lance can't stand him, this means that the Dark Arrow is not only despicable but an insufferable human being.
- Teaming up with Eobard Thawne to conquer Earth-1 under the New Reich and use Supergirl's heart to save Overgirl's life, who was dying due to being exposed to solar radiation.
- Attacking a rebel outpost after he discovered they were working on a dimensional transporter, killing James Olsen's Earth-X counterpart.
- Leading Overgirl, Earth X's Prometheus, and their army of Nazi soldiers to attack Barry Allen and Iris West's wedding in an attempt to capture Supergirl.
- After the mission failed, he got into a heated argument with Thawne over the plan and nearly attacked him, only stopping due to Overgirl calming them both down.
- After learning about Prometheus' death once Reverse-Flash left, while talking to Overgirl (who at least showed concern for him since she knew the two of them were close), he only states that his best friend should've died at the church than allowed himself to be captured by the heroes, implying that although that he truly does care of his best friend, he cares about the goals of the New Reich more.
- Breaking into Dayton Optical Systems with Thawne and Overgirl to steal a device called the Prism.
- Upon revealing his identity to his Earth-1 counterpart, Dark Arrow openly displayed his digust for his heroism, calling it "weakness".
- During a fight with the Flash, Green Arrow and Supergirl, he has Overgirl use her heat vision on a building just so they can escape, nearly killing several people.
- He attacks S.T.A.R. Labs where he knocks out Harry Wells and defeats Heat Wave, Killer Frost and Team Arrow all by himself. He then had them imprisoned in the Pipeline.
- He confessed to enjoying hurting Team Flash and Team Arrow's friends when the Flash warned him that he better not have hurt them.
- He attempted to prevent Supergirl from escaping and attempted to kill Felicity Smoak.
- He, along with Overgirl, is indirectly responsible for the death of main character Martin Stein, since they were the ones to strand the heroes on Earth-X. Stein’s death deeply affected his friends and family and got them enraged at the New Reich's horrible actions.
- Although Dark Arrow offered to spare Earth-1 in exchange for Supergirl's life, it's unknown if he was telling the truth and this was done rather out of pragmatic villainy.
- After war was declared, Dark Arrow and Overgirl have their forces attack Central City and kill whoever is in their way. Afterwards, they would conquer the entire Earth-1.
- After seeing Overgirl die and seeing his plans have failed, Dark Arrow attempts to kill Green Arrow out of spite, only to finally be killed by him for his troubles.
- Even though the New Reich fell after Dark Arrow and Overgirl's deaths, Earth-X's Black Siren vowed to kill all who were responsible for her allies' deaths and attempted to destroy the Central City Police Department as retribution.
- Despite the Arrowverse having particularly high Heinous Standards, Dark Arrow stands out due to his horrendous totalitarian regime of Earth-X (that resembles the Holocaust) and attempting to conquer Earth-1 in which many people would have died.
What Prevents Him from Being Pure Evil?[]
- He genuinely loved and cared about his wife Overgirl. In fact, his main goal throughout the whole story (besides wanting to conquer Earth-1) was to save his Overgirl's life, and he was devastated when she died.
- After hearing about Prometheus' death, Dark Arrow was briefly saddened by the loss of his best friend, proving that he did care about him some.
